He's technically underneath the Offense linemans pad level. He has his hand inside and underneath this breast plate. Perhaps he fired out low and is coming up through his lower half and is about to drive the lineman into the backfield.

Ah..nevermind. I see the pass was from Nuss so Bech was working with the 2's. Now it makes more sense. Making sure Mason Taylor stays fresh....as the centerpiece of the offense he needs to be protected

The defensive lineman's right hand is on the outside of the offensive lineman left shoulder pad. Looks a little high to me.

Ultimately my point was that the OP is trying to sound like I know it all from a still shot. I gave the other perspective. I'm not trying to win the tigerdroppings know it all award from a still shot at practice.
