Sad,but true. Darn John Bond. Only game that was competitive was the 1982 game and dadgum if State's kicker who won it wasn't from Baton Rouge.

It's been over 40 Years and I still hate that name; John Bond, definitely not My Mississippi State's best QB, but definitely had our number.

Nope. I was only at LSU for three years, graduating in 1986:

1983 - Loss
1984 - Loss
1985 - WIN!

I was a student during the Hallman years. We couldn't even beat Southern Miss much less Mississippi St.

acutally, State was the only team Curley had a winning record against. 3-1-0.

Yep, i was there for it. The early 80s were not a good time to be an LSU fan. I witnessed many losses in Tiger Stadium as a student.

Had it not been for a blatant blown call on a 4th and Goal in 1999 - a 17-16 MSU win - LSU would have won 24 years in a row vs. State until the Dak Prescott era. This would have been the third longest streak of any two conference teams in SEC history. For the majority of my life, this is a laugher.

I was at LSU in my Freshman year. It just happened to be the same year as John Bond's first year (don't know if it was his Freshman or RS freshman year)

LSU 31 MSU 55, November 15, 1980 at Mississippi Memorial Stadium in Jackson. State returned the opening kickoff for a TD and never looked back. Our fraternity chartered a bus to the game and some State fan wrote a letter to LSU president Murrill complaining about our behavior.

It should have been, but my college career was long and torturous and ended with an engineering degree from USL, an ex-wife, and two kids. I was only at LSU for one year.

I did live in West Stadium in the fall semester that year. Fifth floor. It was a horrific and glorious time all at the same time. I look back on it fondly.

Freshman in 2000. Felt like an auto-win until Dak showed up in 2014. The 2009 game was a close one, but Bless Chad Jones!
