Atop the list could be Baylor's Scott Drew. He's been linked to the Louisville vacancy this spring, although it seems unlikely he would leave Baylor one year after winning the national championship. Woodward could also make a run at the likes of Illinois' Brad Underwood, who has shown the recruiting chops to compete in the SEC. Could Woodward go back to Texas A&M and hire Buzz Williams? The Aggies have played themselves into the NCAA tournament this week. Arkansas' Eric Musselman could be a target, given his name recognition and what he has done with the Razorbacks. But Musselman seems to enjoy Fayetteville and has two top-10 recruits entering the program next season. One other name could be Florida's Mike White, who spent four seasons as the head coach at Louisiana Tech and has been mentioned as someone who could look to make a move.

If the NCAA cloud forces LSU to go away from high-profile candidates, keep an eye on Baylor assistant Jerome Tang, North Texas' Grant McCasland, Murray State's Matt McMahon and UAB's Andy Kennedy.

As much as I would love that, I don't see it happening. He's got too good of a gig at Baylor right now to leave for our possibly soon to be sanctioned program.

Please link that article, because it's hilarious. Why in the frick would any of the power 5 coaches mentioned take a major downgrade?

. Agreed. We’re not getting Scott drew, nor any of the other ‘big names’ in reality.

He’s done all he can at Baylor. Wants a new challenge.

It's been reported Drew is flirting with Louisville and Georgia.

Drew brought Baylor back from oblivion after Dave Bliss infractions and a player murder scandall.

Wouldn’t mind McCasland or McMahon at all both have been very successful at their perspective schools.

LSU couldn’t get those coaches even without looming sanctions.

My questions on McCasaland and McMahon would be. Would mcasaland want to go to Baylor if scott drew leaves. His alma mater. McMahon question would be what happened last year. all these good years but somehow had a 13-13 record.

Ok, you just compared a program that has won 3 national titles in the last 20 years with a program that has made the final 64 value 3 times in the last 20 years.

I bet you think Duke football attracts the same interest in coaching searches as Duke basketball.

With the penalties LSU has coming you would do good getting an Asst or high school coach. Maybe keep Nickleberry for next 3 yrs! It will be a tough few yrs

Baylor was a mess when Drew arrived. This is what he does.

Challenges are a positive for high achievers.

With sanctions coming, no top notch coach will come to LSU. We are screwed for years. The program may face a downturn the likes we have never seen.
