The uniforms themselves were a decade old, also incredibly hot/uncomfortable for members.

Its also a modern band uniform. Imagine if the football team had to still play in jerseys pads and helmets from the 1980s.

Two of my kids have been in Tiger Band. They love what they do, put in long hours and take great pride in representing LSU. These kids don't get a choice about the uniforms they wear or the music they play. Many of them are treated for heat exhaustion during practices and games. These new unis will be lighter and less hot. Some of the band members read these threads. Let's support them.

The new ones aren't much different than the old ones. Very similar. Just cut a little tighter. 
at all the negative non-band complain-a-whiners and their opinions. They're basically the same uniform with a few minor changes.
They have the dark inserts on the jacket sleeve and side, pointed jacket bottom at the waist and a slightly taller Shako. (Hat) That's it.
Would love to see Ken Bodiford wearing a "Directors" version of the uniform (Or Linda Moorhouse) on their walk to Tiger Stadium.
Uniforms aren't going to make the shows better though. LSU seriously needs talent at the top to produce entertaining and watchable half-time shows.
They could've paid KB's salary with what they spent on these unis and new drums! (GBFTL Alum here)
