I've only heard of one option that really seems feasible, and I'm not sure if it's been posted already, so I figured I'd see what tRant thought.

Switch LSU vs Miss to 10/29 and play UF on 10/22.

This would take away LSU and Florida's extra bye weeks without messing with removing anyone else's. It would also alleviate the three SEC road games in a row in 12 days issue.

Of course we want the bye week before Alabama, but I think this is the most realistic and logical way to fit in the UF game, and I think it would be cool to have Ole Miss on Halloween weekend again. Any thoughts?

I'll take that scenario.

Ole Miss isn't a physical team and it would be better than playing Arkansas on that date.

Except that Ole Miss doesn't have a bye on 10/29..

The Arkansas switch to 10/29 and S.Alabama to 11/12 is the only one I think makes sense.

Ole Miss is scheduled to play Auburn on 10/29. I doubt Ole Miss and Auburn would be willing to accommodate a mess they have nothing to do with.

If I'm LSU, the only scenario I'm agreeing to is pushing the SEC championship game back. LSU tried to "play ball" to avoid this giant clusterfrick caused by what appears to be a spineless or incompetent SEC commissioner. The SEC created this mess. Now they can move "their" game to fix it.

This 100%...This is only option to consider.

I can't believe that people still can't grab the concept that fans of both teams already have travel plans & hotel bookings months in advance for SEC games and you can't just switch dates for them.

Give LSU the loss and pay UF eleventy billion dollars. Then hold auditions for America's got talent in Tiger stadium on the day of the South Alabama game, thus canceling that game. If the Gumps drop a game between now and before LSU plays them, have LSU play the Patriots as a part of the SEC North East, special edition. UF will cancel the rest of their games until Tebow is granted more eligibility and take insurance payments for the rest of the season.

UF and the Gumps play in the SECCG, and we all win...

Auburn would just have to flip its games against Ole Miss and Arkansas (10/22 and 10/29). That would flip Arkansas's 10/22 and 10/29 and give them a bye on 10/22 instead of 10/29. It would flip Ole Miss' weeks of 10/22 and 10/29 too. It's really just a flip flopping of those two weeks for all five teams.

It would make fans with travel plans' heads explode is the only real problem I see.

Georgia vs. Florida on 10/22 instead of 10/29 (They both currently have a bye week on 10/22)

LSU @ Florida on 10/29

Georgia gets bye week on 10/29 instead of 10/22

Maybe not, but a week ago there was "no chance" that LSU wasn't going to play Florida this past weekend.

IMO, the only acceptable date is 12/3. Move the CG. It's doable, but will give Sankey the black eye he deserves. I would also make it a neutral site game with proceeds to hurricane relief to make UF pay for this duplicitous shite.

I would only change that UF / UGA would be played in Athens to give UGA an incentive to move the game and bye week. It is the simplest solution. No one loses a home game revenue and UGA gains revenue for one home game. SEC pays off the stadium in Jacksonville for cancelling the game.

I think Arky is the only team we can play on 10/29. But that would require them agreeing to give up their bye week.

Play-off selection committee will not change their dates. They are supposed to announce final 4 on 12/4.

There are 4 state high school championships on Dec 4 in the Georgia Dome. That would also require that the playoff committee delay their selections one week. Moving the SECCG back one week won't happen.

Also, Jacksonville is not going to give up the GA/Fla game by allowing it to move to Athens. The bigger problem is the additional temporary seating that is put in takes 13 days to install so the game can not be moved up to Oct 22.

I don't know why people keep suggesting those dates as that is just not realistic.

I agree that Sankey and Foley created this mess but if LSU and Florida play it appears it will only be on Nov 19.

A week has gone by since the game was postponed so I have my doubts that they will even play this season.
