And no more games scheduled in hurricane areas that don't have to be
BR is in the hurricane affected areas so no home games scheduled til the hurricane season is over?

Hope the Cougars don't back out from home game at Tigers stadium like LSU objected to travel to Gainesville last October.

Buddy of mine talked to a former tiger player via text and he said the staff was telling current players it's not happening in Houston.

Has Cowboy Stadium been discussed??
There is already a game on there on Sat (Michigan v. Florida)
But the Superdome is available. So is the Arizona Cardinals stadium in Glendale.

If it's in New Orleans, it will be great entertainment. Decadence festival, mormons, and coonasses. Holy sh#t would that be a clash.

Latest projection shows storm reaching Houston late Wednesday/early Thursday.
It actually seems like Houston has gotten relatively lucky so far, but Weather Channel graphic just showed 30+" of rain forecasted for downtown Houston. Of course, that doesn't mean it will definitely happen.

I'm seeing the same weather channel saying catastrophic flooding thru Wednesday for Houston area.
It seems that enough information will be available by Sunday for a decision and I hope to God they make it instead of sitting on their collective hands like last year

I'm trying my best not to over react. I'm up early to get in a workout and thought I would pass along the information that I saw. I'm pretty much in "wait and see mode" right now since they're isn't much more we can do anyway, but I doubt they play in Houston.
Eta: Flash Flood Warning just issued for "downtown Houston" is the exact location the reporter said at 5:49.

The storm is projected to stay in SE Texas for the next week. It needs to be moved. Superdome is available....

Subtle brag.
BTW, I still think the game will be played in Houston.
Posted on 8/26/17 at 6:45 am to BlindTiger7
It wasn't meant to be a brag. I didn't feel like having some little internet troll jackass say "what did you do set your alarm so you could be the first to give a weather report? You negatiger blah blah blah". Believe me, I have nothing to brag about. Anyone can wake up early and excercise.
Posted on 8/26/17 at 6:56 am to TigerLunatik
There was a time when I used to wake up early and work out. That time has passed.
Biggest concerns in order of importance
Will the game be played

For what its worth, there's a flash flood warning for all of Houston, the county and all the counties from here down to the coast until 8:45AM so that reporter didn't really need to be a weather expert to choose downtown.
'Bout to start my work out. Figured I bench about 280 to start, maybe work on the quads, have a protein shake...
:-P
