Maybe it was just me, but I feel like the band is nowhere near as loud as it used to be. Even for the halftime homecoming performance, we could barely hear it.

I am pretty old now and the piped-in music just irritates the shite out of me…however, I can’t agree that the majority of folks don’t like it. Every time it comes on, I am amazed at the folks i see dancing in the stadium that are obviously very familiar with with the songs. I am not just talking about teenagers either…

It's relative - the sonic assault of the piped-in music is SO loud that the band sounds quiet in comparison.

I was there Saturday, and I can say, it doesn't compare to the old DV.

I agree the music between every play is stupid and ruins the atmosphere of tiger stadium… it’s loud and blaring horrible rap music….
GET RID OF THE STUPID DJ MUSIC AND LET THE BAND PLAY MORE

I totally agree and commented on this very topic in the fan survey. The loud music is played until only a couple of seconds from the opposing team snapping the ball. It’s useless for the crowd to be loud until the music stops. Let the crowd do its job and be loud before the snap and not let the music do it. Loud crowd noise is what Tiger Stadium is known for.

Was in attendance for South Carolina. My family and I are LSU fans who live 20 min from Starkville. We cheer for state on the side and have been to many games in Starkville. Y’all can say it isn’t the same as it used to be but I can promise other places don’t compare to Death Valley. My kids came for the first time in 2018 and were absolutely blown away.

Now that the band is full of senior citizens, they have to take more breaks.

Hence the increased piped-in music...

My “Get off my lawn” comment about the band is I wish the student section didn’t add something vulgar to every song.

We do not compare ourselves to contemporaries that are beneath us. We compare ourselves to greatness that we have demonstrated in the past, and measured against that standard we are lacking.

Piped in music, crowd engagement, rinse and repeat. I like it

So is it doing it’s job of keeping the crowd engaged and staying for entire game when it’s still relatively close??

the DJ selections absolutely sucks arse

So there is a DJ actually playing that music all the time? I thought that was just a promotional thing for the SLU game (or whichever one it was).

If that's true, then yeah, it pretty much sucks. I wonder if the administration has bothered with any actual data on whether that crap actually helps with recruits, crowds, or anything else? I'd be curious to see that kind of study, and where it comes from.

It’s not even close. And what makes me so upset is that it’s early 3rd quarter, one score game and the main part of the stadium is dumping out. It can’t be good for recruits and motivation for the team. And I don’t want to hear it’s the same for other schools. Any school worth a damn in the sec would be packed in a game like that.

Was there for 2000 Mississippi state and 2007 Auburn. Thank you for your concern fat bastard but I said my kids were blown away. I can’t wait to bring them to a top 10 matchup at night.

Again I still stand by the fact that tiger stadium is better than anywhere else even when it’s not at its best
