A. This may be our best chance for a while considering we are losing alot of our everyday starters.

So, you are Chomp.19 and bfniii. Any other ID's you use?

Lsu invests as much as any other program. Thus, lsu should be in Omaha more often than not
Only one school has been at the CWS more times than LSU since PM arrived. So, what's the big program. 33% of the time doesn't feed your entitlement needs?

now, if he makes it this year, that puts things in a very different perspective because it will suddenly be 2 out of the last 3 in omaha and a couple of near misses with a ton of wins. if he doesn't make it, then it's 6 years without a win in omaha and only 1 appearance. that is not acceptable for an elite program nor for lsu given that they invest as much as anyone in the sport.

So are you going to tally the results or what?

A success in LSU baseball teams should be as smart as the goal of a game.

e how the chicken shite fans among our fan base think that when they crap all over one of our programs they can do so without crapping on the kids who come to LSU to play for a program.
Still the miserable frick you were born to be I see. It must really suck to be you.

B. This team is good enough to make it to the finals.

LSU should be playing for the National Title
We are the #2 Seed and could have been the #1
I won't lower the standard

Thought your or your Chom.19 alias point was return on investment demanded LSU baseball to be at the CWS more times than not? Since I pointed out that's just were LSU baseball has been more or as many times than any other of 300 plus schools but one, you changed to, 2009 is a distant memory.
Only a clueless entitled fruitcake demands a NC for a season to be considered a success.
College baseball is much more competitive today than it was in the 70ies, 80ies, and 90ies. Gone are the days when teams like USC, the Arizona schools, Texas, Miami, and LSU ruled. Anyone failing or refusing to accept that fact as reality, are doomed to live in misery.
Winning the West, the SEC, being ranked much of the year at #1, and being a #2 seed national has already made this year a success. The question is only how much more of a success will the season be?

B) CWS Finals
With 4 All-Americans a CWS championship game appearance is the bar. I don't know if the team has the pitching to make it, but either way it will be a huge letdown if they don't.

I'll go with:
F) Being LSU baseball
This season is a success because it has been another year to watch and cheer for the baseball Tigers. It has also been an especially enjoyable one because we've won so much and won the SEC. Winning the regional, super regional, and CWS would be great, of course, but since I'm not a player, coach, administrator, etc., the outcome of the season has little if anything to do with it's "success" relative to me. And of course I wouldn't try and define myself what "success" means for the kids and coaches who are actually out there busting their asses to win games and championships. I hope to God they could not care less what I think "success" means for them.
But since your question seems more aimed at what this gathering of internet shrews will deign to acknowledge as success in their beer-fueled rants from their cheeto-stained keyboards, I'd imagine (based on past experience) that the loudest ones will find a reason not to call it a success no matter what the outcome is. C'est la vie, c'est la Rant.

Bumped for first game jitters, cold bats, and serial post-game CPM-bashing (not wholly unwarranted imho btw) in the vomitorium known as TD Ameritrade...
Couple of questions: C is still possible, but could we call this season a "success" after posting the best record in baseball and an SEC Championship? 0-2 in another CWS would be apocalyptic, especially on the Rant, but maybe by football season we'd all appreciate, if nothing else, what a fun season it (mostly) was?
