I'm saying 9-3 for you guys as well.

I'm not being a homer, but nobody is going to score on a D that has everyone returning from a top 5 D last year. If Florida plays well, nobody will beat us in the regular season.

Your QB question mark, while not a massive "?", is still a problem. Our 2-deep is just absurd. This HAS to be Florida's year, if there ever was one or will ever be one.

As for the "No Harvin, No Win" comment, we did pretty well against the Tide without him, and I can't imagine that we can't do well without him now.

Only time will tell with you guys. I think at worst 8-4 and at best 10-2, with losses to Ole Miss and UF, or add to that 'Bama and UGA to equal the 4.

However, I will say this, that looking at OUR schedule, you're the only team that makes me worried. 8pm, BR, I'm at least a little skeered.

Nobody questions your defense, it's your offense that's the big ?, given that your minus Harvin and three OL, including your LT, the second most important position on the team.

As far as no one scoring on the Gator D, we scored 21 last year with an even more uncertainty at QB than we have this year. With the most starters returning on offense than any of the main contenders, including the leading returning pass catchers at WR and TE, and the leading returning rusher, I like our chances against your defense.

I also like our D's chances aginst your rebuilding OL, and your new WR's. I expect most of TT's passes this year will be to the TE. I think Chavis and Co. wil be able to cover that.

I think we'll beat the Gators in Baton Rouge, and we'll see if they'll be a rematch in Atlanta.

I have no doubt LSU will be there.

I put 9-3. Just not comfortable with the QB situation yet...
Well then turn in your season tickets because you are a nega tiger and not a true fan.

My vote is.........9-3. Although I'm really leaning toward 8-4. We lose to Florida, Ole Miss, UGA, and maybe one other SEC team. If we beat either Ole Miss or UGA, we will still lose another SEC game.

9-3.

I say 11-1. Battle b/w Florida. They will most likely loss during the regular season to Florida and win in the SECG. LSU will prove a lot of people wrong this year. They will be a lot better than last year for sure.

I don't think QB was our major problem last year. Even with the question mark at QB with them being thrown in there a year earlier than planned we still averaged 30.92 points a game (including the bowl game). Any year in the past we would of been in the BCS title game with our defenses over the past years. Defense was our biggest problem last year and hopefully with Chavis the ship has been righted! Hence my 10-2 prediction.

I agree totally. Though I am leaning towards 3 losses. People make way too much out of the int's for td's thing. We still avg'ed 31 points a game. 2 years ago our d allowed us to score like 149 points off of turnovers. I believe last year we got 49. If the d had even shown up, we'd have won another 2 to 3 games last year, even with our young mistakes at QB. This year, the schedule is waaaay tough. I could see us losing 2 but I think 3 is more likely. Ahhhhh the SEC.....gotta love it.

I totally agree that our defense underacheived last year. The only loss I put on the QB was Bama. I don't see how people think our defense will be an improvement considering how much NFL talent we lost last year. It was our NFL defensive line that killed us last year with their underacheivement. They didn't help our young defensive backfield at all.

I would consider 10-2 to be an outstanding season and 8-4 to be disappointing. 9-3 seems to be realistic.

I would put 12-0, but 11-1 is more like it. I see them letting one game get away from them and I do not believe it to be the Florida game. I am the ever present optimist. :) Geaux Tigers!

that is all.

10-2 (11-1)
Florida and somebody I guess. Besides Florida I think we could win every game. I just don't think it is very likely that this team will go undefeated. We are right on par with Bama and Old Piss, but with both being on the road we will probably drop 1 of them. If we make it, we will get Florida back in the SECCG.

I would say no worse than 9-3 and at best 11-1. Even if we were crazy enough to beat UF we would lose to someone else.

I Believe that LSU can go 13-1 this season with a few close games.

11-1 or 10-2 for me. While Florida and Ole Miss pose the biggest threat for us I see us taking one of the two. I love having Florida at home at night, Factor in they are rebuilding their offensive line and WR corps. I look to see Florida a more TE pass / Run threat this year. Again the same saying goes, Stop Tebow stop Florida. Florida's defense will help keep them in a lot of games this year but I don't look for their offense to be as explosive as last year.

Ole Miss looks to have a few weapons with Snead, McCluster, and Hodge and their defense should be pretty good this year even though they have a spot or two to on defense to fill. I look for Snead to hook up with Hodge a lot more this year opening up McCluster and the Wild Rebel. Snead will need consistent pressure to throw his game off. Just my two cents worth.

Quote from TigerBandAlumnus82: "Maybe for some, but not so hard for some coaches in just their second year.

Tigers go 9-3. Like others, I'm not so comfortable with the QB situation. I really think LSU needs a dedicated QB coach in addition to Crowton. Who's been coaching the QB's when GC is up in the pressbox anyway? Yeah, I know, there's headphones for the QB's to talk with Crowton, but they need somebody down there on the field. Want to see what Jefferson brings to the table against the SEC Big Boys. So far he's only proven that he has a lot of potential. Want to see if JL has done any film work and realizes what he did wrong last year and if he's eliminated all the other things that plague freshmen QB's. (Seeing the field, finding secondary receivers, throwing off back foot, etc....)

No depth or experience at Center and LG.

If Chavis and Cooper only have the LB's and DB's in a very simple non-confusing scheme where all the fast and speedy guys can use their athletic abilities instead of having to think too much and if Haley can pull a little more out of the DL than Lane did, then maybe they'll be improved. "Improved" doesn't mean "Great" however. How MUCH improved they are will determine how many games LSU wins. If there are a lot of 48-45 games, we're in trouble......."

I personally believe you think everthing needs to be just so-so on the team in every position. But, that is not the case if that is what you are expecting to happen before this team can go 12-0 or 11-1 then you will never see it happen. Because all the preasure in the world would come down on these kids and there is no way they could do it. You have to be realistic and expect the best they do and be the they can be. There is no team unbeatable and there is no team that does not have weaknesses it just that some teams play together and cover up each others mistakes. Just like what we saw in the baseball team this past year.

Last year there was a couple of plays in each lose that caused us to loose those games even with all those interseptions we still was in all the games except 1 or 2 at the end. So do not think that you have to all americans at every position to win all the games we do not we just have to have the right chemistry and talent on the field at one time and give it their all in every game and it can be done.
LSU fans are real fickel they think that their team can never do anything that another team can do and there is always someone better than us, but I choose to see the glass half full and not half empty I believe our talent is as good as anyone's in the country they just need to go out and prove it. I think they will I believe they will go 11-1 and play for it all. The only lose will be to Fla. and then we beat them in the SEC Championship game to go to the BCS Campionships.

12-0 We are LSU people come on.How can you feasibly go into ANY game and say "oh we're probably gonna lose today",I can't see it until the scoreboard reads all zeros and we're on the losing end.WE will win them all and the NC!

9-3. LSU will not beat Fla or Ole'piss. sorry to say that, but being a realist. the other game is a throwaway after a tough loss. Arkansas will NOT beat us this year.
