PJ, why are you so upset?

I am not upset at all MUDDY. I just don't think the FANS on here should think that ,hey we need JJ for the Duck game so lets wait and sit him in the NWS game. If Miles knows something before the Duck game he should ACT. IMO.

Calm down man. You are getting to worked up with this shite and you are going to break that caps lock if you keep hitting it so hard. I am not entitled to say what is right or wrong for the program because I am not paid to be in the know. I don't know what really happened however I have to assume that the players have nothing to lose by telling the coach the truth. If they don't and he finds out elsewhere they will most likely be dismissed. However if the do tell him what really happened he will most likely back them up, and I will have to sit behind my tv or in my seats in the stadium and support them either way. I believe I also just said that if he is suspended it needs to be the first game. I just don't know if that will happen. I am okay with whatever happens as long as I get to see some football.

Doing that and given his relationship to LSU would constitute illegal benefits by NCAA rules. I hope to God he's not giving them a discount.

For someone like you that almost daily tries to convince people to accept cheating in college football, this position seems hypocritical, no?

You want people to not be supportive of investigations of the big programs that cheat but you want suspensions over a bar fight. That doesn't make sense to me.

Barring some bizarre circumstance, I would've been long gone to parts unknown by the time the police arrived.

Now I didn't say that when I come back to reality that I still feel this way or that I live the majority of my life that way. Just saying loss of objectivity comes along with being a fan at times. It's why 90,000+ are jammed into Death Valley on a Sat night. Not for rational realism.

OK. Breaking Curfew, Getting into a fight at a bar at 1:30 in the A.M. Just for being a sad example of wht Miles want to present as a team. YES. Sit him down.

What is your definition of a cover up? Killing the victims? If you pay someone off, I'd say most would consider that a cover up.

What is yours? It seems like a lot of you want the players to plead guilty to highest charge and voluntarily do the maximum sentence or else it will be a "cover up." You have kids. If they get in legal trouble when they're older will you get them a laywer or just have them plead guilty and take their medicine?

And Manchurian is absolutely right. Most of the people so up in arms are so because they don't like Jefferson and/or Miles.

Goes back to what I said earlier in the thread.

If LSU (or somebody connected w/ the university) pays off whatever plaintiffs involved to make this go away, the NCAA will have a planeload of investigators down here faster than you can spit. We're already on their radar far too much for my liking as it is.

According to Stone at BRPD, the meeting is postponed until Tuesday morning.

It comes out piecemeal.

Different story now from "postponed indefinitely."

IF Jefferson plays a snap against Oregon then we know that Les Miles is not a man of integrity. Regardless of the facts of the fight, he knowing led the team in breaking team rules as the team leader. That is not the type of leader I want on my team.
I feel like this also

All this shows is the fight is the issue and not breaking curfew. I have no doubt Les wouldn't have given 2 shits about the curfew breaking if nothing went down. He's wisely covering his arse by acting tough and using the "breaking of curfew" as the cover here. Les is a smart guy, he's not going to make statements about how he's upset they got into an altercation.

Les did the right thing in his press conference, but I am not a fan of punishing the team because of the alleged stupidity of 4 to 6 players.
