Now let's all continue to freak out about Romero

I predict:

LSU - 9

CC - 3

Put up or shut up for Romero. Hope the team brings the wood tonight.

Gotta admit I'm shocked Mainieri is starting Romero. Guess he feels like he needs the fire power.

Lets fricking roll!

Romero is a good move. What type of pitcher does CC have on the mound? If he's a power pitcher Romero would probably be good to see him smash a few. At least when he gets struck out he rips it. Jordans were not getting it done. They've looked HORRIBLE the past few weeks. Problem we have is nobody off the bench is highly viable outside Romero who's struggling himself.

If I were Mainieri, I'd change my pitching plans and throw someone like Gilbert with the weather. Looks like we will definitely be delayed.

40% at 8, 30% at 9, 15% at 10

May get delayed a bit but doesn't look like anything too serious.

Radar looks to clear around game time... Worried about lightning...

#LSU spokesman confirmed Jordan Romero starts at DH Bryce Jordan sits. Neither Jordan brother has gotten a hit since Utah Valley game #LSU

I knew it was bad, didn't know it was this bad. Bryce had that flukie SF in foul territory but other than that I can't remember a productive at bat by either.

They've been beyond bad. This is a good move.

Dude, he can hit. For a couple weeks every hit was going yard. Has near a dozen homers, he should be DH, if not the Catcher. Pap has been playing lights out so I am happy we put our best hitters out there. Let's face it the Jordan's have been in a slump & we CPM needed to shake up our lineup.

I agree and I've noticed the same thing. Romero does strikeout a lot but he has been ripping some balls that just aren't falling. Jordans are note even making full contact on the balls. They're in a huge slump right now and CC has a lot of power in their lineup. Jordans get on base a lot but it's also partially one reason we get bases loaded curses because nobody will get a timely clutch hit when we need it the most. It's killing us lately.

While I am not in favor of the move, I support the coach's decision

It's really the best of two evils. Put the guy in who will either weakly pop up, or get plunked and put the double play in order, or the guy who can tally a run with one swing of the bat. Neither of them is hitting well, I just think Jordan Romero gives you a better chance than the Jordan's right now. He's stung quite a few that haven't fallen lately. He could go 0-4 but Bryce has done that 4 games in a row. No harm, no foul. But I promise on any fly ball that doesn't leave the yard Romero will be busting arse to second base

Welp...

#LSU lineup vs. Coastal Duplantis (RF) Fraley (CF) Kramer (SS) Deichmann (1B) Romero (DH) Beau (LF) Reid (3B) Papierski (C) Freeman (2B)

I would have put Papierski behind Romero for some extra protection, he's been swinging the hottest stick. Beau should be hitting 8th at best.
