Rosetta just asked about Newman and Norman...

Said Newman is a curveball pitcher and can't go long

Said Norman faced the bottom of the order "not to diminish it"... but it was time to go to the next guy

I know my players, Newman is a breaking ball pitcher and you can only get away with that for so long. It was time to turn it over to Bain... Doug did a nice job. He faced the bottom third of the order. That's not to diminish anything from him... but we thought it was time to get Jessy out there.

Lol what. He could have gone longer than 1.2

The next guy who started the 8th should have been Bugg. Putting in Stallings conceded the game.

Yeah, that really does explain it. I mean, we can all stop talking now.

If only the exceptional baseball expertise embodied by the rant could somehow be harnessed to run the team, we wouldn't even need a coach.

Norman was sitting at 91-92 with 3-4 inches of run on his fastball. He was by far the most impressive pitcher of the night. Meanwhile, Bain can't hit the side of a barn and he brings him out for another inning.

Absolutely excellent defense of his decisions. Not even arguable anymore.

the only thing I could think of is that he wants Stallings to regain his confidence and Dunn has been working with him a lot, esp his change. if Stallings would have had a good outing it would bode well for next year and give him some experience in Omaha.
