PM said in the post game interview that he would rather keep what he said between he and Dylan Crews. He went on to say that he was just trying to “inspire him a little bit.” I guess he didn’t tell him to not swing the bat like we were told.

Yeah, he definitely wouldnt lie. "I wont tell you what I said" clears this right up. Thanks.

Of course he didn't tell him not to swing. Only an idiot would think that he said that. He probably told him to be patient, despite the bad 3-0 call, bc he's a phenom and they would be pitching carefully to him. I still don't understand the reasoning for interrupting the at bat.

So you believe that he did tell him not to swing the bat at all?

Certainly reasonable to question that.

Can we all at least agree on that? That meeting was a momentum killer.

Does Crews seem like someone who needs inspiring? This is even more dumb to interrupt the at-bat for a pep talk. Jesus

If Dylan was at fault, Paul would have let us know.

That’s my issue. He is a phenom. He’s been playing baseball his whole life. He knows look fastball right down the middle 3-0. If it’s not there don’t swing. Once 3-2 protect. Don’t go looking for a walk!

Exactly. Crews smiling through the remainder of the at bat will always be weird to me. He's been a stone faced, all business player. No emotion. Why was he almost laughing the rest of that at bat?

Oh, right, because he throws players under the bus. I forgot. Yeah we would’ve heard about it from PM had Crews not executed. Good point.

What momentum? Tf are you talking about? In the at bat momentum? Did he interrupt the not swinging at the last 4 pitches momentum? Or the meeting made him not see the ball well anymore? The meeting made him not able to Correctly assume what the next pitch would be? It’s not like he took a timeout to encourage a QB in a successful hurry up offense. This is completely absurd.

I don't blame him for wanting to keep his advice secret. It led to the fastest strikeout I have ever seen from Crews. Whatever he said he should forget it.

Good thing Dugas brought the momentum back after it was killed.

This is vietmeiers fault for working faster than he normally does and it killed crews pre at bat meditation.

No frickin shite! There was no reason to interrupt his at bat to give him take sign. I’ll bet if he had scorched one CPM would be bragging about what he told him. Why would you want to get inside the kids head?
