It does deserve its own thread because that could've been a dagger type inning. 2 runners on and no outs with slaughter playing out of his mind at the plate. Was a very bad decision on PM's part

PM has made bad calls like this since he has been at LSU, but LSU wins in spite of it.

Serious question. Do you think Paul should have expected a pitch that far out of the zone when the pitcher is behind 2-0? The expectation is to get a fastball grooved down the middle. You give your hottest hitter a shot with the hit and run on. That's being aggressive and trying to get a big inning.

The pitcher threw a bad pitch but the coach can't see the future.

People like you should stick to football...you're clueless about baseball. What do you think the catcher told the pitcher when he went to the mound after the count went to 2-0 and Pap was showing bunt? Hmmm?

Yes he has, just goes to show how good our defenses and pitching talent has been because he's about as inept an offensive coach as there is.

This criticism would be fair (and may be fair), but do you also give props when the calls work? What about the squeeze earlier in the game that worked and got us a run? Some calls will work and some won't. I find it ridiculous that so many of you guys just seem to focus and want to complain about what doesn't work out. We have hit and run all year, so it is not odd we would continue to do so in even that situation.

This is my point, it's easy to look back when you know the outcome and say it was the wrong call.

Another successful bunt to get a guy in scoring position late in the game. Great coaching there by PM. Just helping you out since you only seem to want to point out the negative calls.

A bad decision is a bad decision no matter if it works or not and it doesn't matter when it's discussed. You're either creating good habits or bad habits most of our fanbase is totally blind to this simple concept.

I agree with Tigerbait 100%. Hard to hit when you are put in a hole.

Another successful sacrifice bunt (after poor execution on a hit and run) that puts a runner on third and led to an insurance run. Another good coaching call by PM.

This is exactly right. Can simply be concerned with tonight but have to be looking ahead as well.

Just had a successful hit and run that got a runner in scoring position, and that led to another insurance run. I've done a few of these to point out how disingenuous and ridiculous it is to call out one coaching decision that doesn't work out without recognizing the ones that do. Seems PM has had way more good calls tonight than bad ones when you're keeping track.
