I am just repeating what a former TAF board member said. Here they are correct. May be wrong or may be right. But figured I would pass it on. Supposedly wade requested the meeting. And there is extreme pressure on the admin from the big donors. It is all about the money as we know. However they may say FU as we know

Hey, maybe you are hearing correctly and I’ll look like an idiot

I’m just saying that from a university standpoint, it makes no sense to reinstate wade at this point in the season and investigation. Making rational statements is like kryptonite to most of the posters on this board though

It made no sense to suspend him.

Epic clusterfrick (as if that needed to be stated again)

1) Administration makes bad decision to suspend coach, then withhold player.
2) Administration "doubles down", as the cool message board kids say, by not reinstating the coach but reinstating the player.
3) The big money people are pissed and have threatened to withhold future donations.
4) Due to previous faulty decisions, the administration is now clearly in a "no-win" situation. If they don't reinstate Wade, the donors will be pissed. If they DO reinstate Wade, the national backlash of reinstating what appears to be a crooked coach will be massive again (ah the irony of making a "bad PR decision")

I am DYING to see how LSU spins it if they do by some chance reinstate Wade today. That press release will be gold...probably in a bad way.

I agree but now that he’s suspended they aren’t going to just reinstate him for the NCAA tournament.

You would think people on this website would learn from people having 3rd party sources with zero evidence

“Get ahead of the problem”’

You can’t be serious. If there turns out to be a sanction problem, this administration is about as far behind that problem as one can be and suspending the coach one game before the end of the regular season is not going to mean a damn thing to the NCAA I know.

Here is my opinion on this whole thing. Wade wants to see what they will ask him in court and what exactly is in those tapes that is going to be made public knowledge. He doesnt want to answer questions that may never come to light under the current fbi investigation. Once that invstigation is over he knows what they have on him exactly and how to proceed moving forward. So right now LSU doesnt know more than has been released and neither does the NCAA, Wade is at an impass because LSU is requiring his side of things before moving forward. He will be out till he is done in court, and we won’t know until then what is going to happen with his coaching status. LSU looks to be trying to cross every t and dot every i as far as compliance goes.

I agree with your summation. If what is public is all that is out there then he can easily deny that. If there is more, then he may not be able to.

He doesn’t want to admit to anything that will never come out

I will say this.....it has been awfully quiet the last 3 days. Makes you wonder what is going on. Last Friday, I was 100% convinced he was gone, but now I have a glimmer of hope (not much, but a glimmer).

The way I look at it is they are in a stalemate. There's no point in taking it any further because both sides have made it known what they want and neither is budging. As such, I don't think things being silent for 3 days really means all that much right now.

I'm hoping WW recalls everything he said to Dawkins over the phone, because there is supposedly still a "third article" hitting Yahoo at some point soon, probably before NCAAT kickoff. And, according to the guy in the know on SECRant, it has more on Sean Miller and Will Wade. I guess we'll know shortly.

It has been so quiet recently. I think the NCAA is packing up their bags and heading out. They don’t have shite on us. That’s why Smart played.
