The defense shut Florida down. Props to them. Your point is retarded.

When's the last time you saw team who could have "done whatever they wanted" to another team, be happy to settle for no more than a 7 point spread for basically the entire game?

Seems damn risky to me.

The D did their job, Florida even got greedy toward the end and tried to throw a TD in there, but our D stepped up once again with the INT. UF's only TD came on an offensive pass interference that wasn't called. If they are lucky enough to kick a field goal there, our D only gives up 9 points....It's our offense that couldn't keep our D off the field

The most conservative play out of their offensive set was the dive and they ran that down our throats all game. We had nothing to counter the dive which let them know they didn't have to open it up on us and be risky.

Going into this game, UF averaged 307.5 rushing yards, 3 rushing td's, and 7.03 YPC.

They got 193, 0 rushing td's, and averaged 4.0 YPC.

Yeah, they ran it down our throats the whole game and were very content with just a 7 point lead.

eta- The defense played great. I'm sorry hearing this makes you upset.

Are you trying to say the defense played bad? That Florida only planned to score 13?

I said this right after the game and all day yesterday. Rewatching the game last night proved this to be correct as well. Florida controlled the line of scrimmage all night. I mean they had a 13 play 44 yard drive that took 7 minutes off the clock. Defense played well, but by no means were they great. If Florida needed to, they could have put up 30.

Florida's play calling was not vanilla. Talking to Florida fans.. this is the offense they run this year. Spread you out, run it up the gut on the read and bust a big play with very shifty speedy backs. Florida does not have big play receivers this year.

been arguing this all morning. the game was lost after the first drive when the defense allowed florida to keep the ball 8 minutes and run dive plays for 82 yards. also give up the argument that they were on the field all night - floridas 2 longest drives came on their first possesion and the first possession of the 2nd half.

florida knew all they needed was 13 pts because of the lack of offense and without a doubt kept it as simple as possible

LSU defense was great. No other team has shut UF down in the red zone as many times as LSU did. Tebow was pretty well contained and defenders were delivering the hits, not vicversa.

Or maybe the coaches were trying to sooth the pain from last years romp. NOT.

That's pretty much what he has said in post game interviews I've read (see NY times article). Run the ball, eat clock, and let the D win the game. UF D is pretty good. O is pretty boring.
