That's an awfully big pepsi sign in the background of a guy who notoriously had a coke bottle displayed very prominently at every press conference he ever held.

Wait so because other schools do it and it looks like shite and kills the atmosphere of a stadium by making it appear corporate as hell, we should just be OK with it?

I didn’t realize Alabama’s scoreboard still looked like that…

Please explain to me how the atmosphere of a stadium is killed by some ads on a scoreboard.

I'm not worried about the atmosphere of the stadium, but the replay screen is 1/20th of the size it should be. It just looks tacky.

Well I'm not worried about the size of the replay screen. I'd rather the atmosphere make other teams shite in their pants.

Kills the atmosphere? I don’t understand this argument.
Looks like shite? Sure I agree there. But kills the atmosphere? You and I are the atmosphere. We decide what the atmosphere is. Not a Pepsi or Coke or Nike sign.

It’s possible to have both. I don’t think ads really affect the atmosphere. I will be interested to see how much of the new scoreboard is used for ads though.

I also understand that ads are needed for money, but have a personal preference to how they can be incorporated into the stadium. I think it’s one of the easy ways that Alex Box could be upgraded to be more visually appealing, but still have ads.

The video operators are so the last couple of years about playing replays I feel like were lucky to get 5 a game. And they never seem to show replays of close calls in a timely fashion.

If we are talking about stadium atmosphere, ads on the scoreboard pale in comparison to a DJ drowning out organic crowd noise and energy.

But I guess that’s another thread.

Shouldn’t we all want LSU to get as much advertising money as possible?

Would y’all rather a “corporate atmosphere” or getting our asses kicked from being poor?

Why? We hate ads. Get quite enough on TV so don’t want same at stadium. Enough of this ad stupidity over and over. It’s loud and annoying.
