College sports is no longer about personal development. More money, more wins, more tv, more individuals. It’s all about me, me, me. Kyren needed his arse straightened out. But he never received that kind of leadership. The way Brian Kelly handled Lacy was an absolute joke. Just a very sad situation.

I've honestly got better things to do. People die all day every day. I'll celebrate the ones that were truly good and meaningful.

BK doesnt do either of those! It was so obvious Lacy had issues. He needed discipline. That used to be what coaches instilled in there players.

it wasn't mental health at all. I hate it for his family and my heart goes out to them.....but this is bs....I feel sorry for the family, but not him. I'm not celebrating his thug life.

We need more mental health resources.
He was a guy who just make very bad, reckless decisions.
That's not at all the same as mental illness.

Sad that so much of his life was in front of him.

In a social media post Sunday, Lacy's father, Kenny Lacy, urged parents to check on their children's mental health from an early age

Kenny Lacy: Young parents, start talking to your kids at a very early age and make sure they are confident and comfortable confiding in you. Don't be cool with "I'm Alright, or I'm good" when you know deep down something isn't right. Mental Health is real, and for the most part, it's invisible, don't ignore the signs, even if they may seem small.

Will be interesting to see the toxicology reports.
Taking one’s own life while driving and endangering even more lives just shows how stunted his decision making tree was.
He can be missed by those that knew him while simultaneously recognizing how little maturity he possessed in terms of a decision making capacity.

Lacy would have gotten a few years; he definitely would not have been given life in prison. But it might have meant that his dream of playing in the NFL was over. He would have gotten 1-5 years for negligent homicide, and maybe a small enhancement for hit-and-run. But he compounded it with the idiotic decisions he made on Saturday night. I don't see us celebrating the Vietnam Vet's life that was taken. But because he played for LSU and scored some TD's for the purple and gold, he's worth celebrating.

So are you want to celebrate a person who victimized two people? No!

So, no accountability should be held is what you’re saying?
Illegal lane changes, speeding, running red lights, tailgating... Half of you assholes do this on a daily basis. Anyone who commutes in Baton Rouge knows this. If anything, it is jackass adults teaching kids poor driving habits, instead of respecting that they are behind the wheel of a 2-ton weapon.

Yes Lacy is ultimately responsible for his own actions. No BK is not the reason Lacy was troubled but how he handled Lacy while at lsu was laughable. Many of us pointed out his antics and his wild behavior. Zero disciplinary action. Zero accountability. I see a young man who was very lost and never received the kind of leadership he needed. Would that have changed the final outcome? Who knows
That’s where football is nowadays. Individuals are more important than the team. Winning is more important than how the game is played. It’s bullshite and that’s why cfb is dying.

Last time I reported/witnessed an accident was years ago in NO. Traffic court was @ Tulane and Broad.
I was subpoenaed to court, checked in and was allowed to sit there for hours while case was settled and court personnel didn't tell me I could leave.
So screw stopping at an accident. I would call 911 if I see something but stopping and rendering aid is not on my calendar. I am not a medical professional and if I saw blood and guts I would be puking on the injured.
