I don't think some people understand his position very well. He is not a lber like Jarvis jones or a speed rusher like keke. He contains the strong side and pushes everything to the middle. He collapsed the pocket several times.

What? With a name like Sonic Sam, i thought he was supposed to return punts, kick field goals, pleasure the cheeleaders while the offense was on the field and lead the alma mater before and after the games.

No one has ever been drafted in the 1st round that played in a game but didnt record any stats. That's the first thing scouts look for. Statless games kill draft stock.

Sonic Sam had two plays that recall off the top of my head that didn't show up in the stat book.

1. He pressured Price to run right...right into Keke Mingo for a TFL.

2. He drew a double team on a safety blitz. Those two blockers had their hads full and that allowed Eugene to get his first career sack.

I loved those two plays.

(Why are we feeding this troll?)

We'll see how the season plays out. Brockers blew up mid season. Same could happy to a couple of our DTs. I doubt it, but could happen.

Anyone been watching Akim hicks wrecking shite?

I think your crazy if you think he isn't a first rounder. He has tons of upside and has proven himself in the SEC. He is 6'2" and can cover. Even if he comes out this year he is a first rounder.

Reid is hands down the best safety in this class and will be a top 20 pick come April.

Yeah long 6'2" lockdown corners are a dime a dozen. Nice try though.

He is rated as one of the best 2-3 in his position in this class. The talent is clearly there, so if he comes back next year and is healthy, then YES he will be a first round pick.

Not your best post.

Mario Williams had games where his stats didn't indicate greatness.

He went #1 overall.

Jake Long went # 1 overall and has been a Pro Bowler all four years he has been in the NFL. His only officially recognized "stat" in 4 years is 1 recovered fumble.

You had two clear mistakes.

Bennie Logan is a long shot but not laughable. I bet he goes in the second if not the first.

Tharold Simon's chances depend on his speed. I'm not sure what it is but if he's 4.50 or lower he's round one.

Plus Faulk is round one net year if he rehabilitates well (you equivocated on this one)

And I'm not calling you on this but I think Reid makes it easily.

Andrew Luck never had a sack, and he went first overall.

I am right here and the Tigers have played to powder puffs. The first game was against who? And someone post his stat line. Tyson Jackson shocked the Tiger nation by being drafted in the first round. Everyone was saying what the?? And as far as most are concerned, he was a wasted pick. Mingo is all over the place. Reid makes plays in every game. T. Simon is lock down. Just saying, his back-up shows up more, the very little that he is allowed to play. It is not like the coaches are telling him. Slow down there big boy. Some one that is highly touted shouldn't disappear in games against far inferior opponents. Yes he played better this week. But this is his money year.

Tyson Jackson is definitely the biggest enigma I've ever seen here

His size and speed allowed him to play in a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme and the DE class that year wasn't very deep.

I am not bashing, but you need to step up your game.

When teams go 3 and out every set of downs and you are double teamed the whole time....you're not going to light up the stat sheet. The game against a legit opponent he wins SEC d-lineman of the week. He was on the ball all the time, constantly flushed Price out the pocket and recorded a sack, and 1.5 tfl.

Think of it this way. When Mingo makes a tackle on the defenses left side it's becasue the offense decided to run away from Sonic Sam, if they run to their left(the defense's right) Sam would've gotten the stat. NT chose the Mingo poison. Washington chose the Montgomery poison and he made them pay.
