It’s not like JL had a high draft pick in his future, same as JJ.

I agree with the statement that these milineals are soft

It has NOTHING to do with them being "soft". It's about the money. You didn't have this happening 20 or 30 years ago because the first contracts for players in the NFL were not nearly the amount they are today nor was the annual salary for an NFL player even remotely close to what it is today.

If you’re under contract they can make life pretty miserable on you.

Why play if your key or guice? Bowl game means nothing and if the get injured it will cost them millions

They are crazy to worry about the future. They need to play the school and the fans. Money is secondary to making the fans on a message board happy.

Not playing does not keep you from being injured. You still have to work out, lift weights, etc. Also players are injured in non contact drills

Significantly less likely to happen though.

They mean something to kids that love the game and love competing. Also, it's the last time they'll ever have a chance to play in college and that means a lot to many players. Some of these studs have insurance policies in place in case they get hurt anyway. I understand if someone decides not to chance it, but I won't say it doesn't mean anything to play that last game with all their friends/teammates.

I guess since the bowl game is meaningless, you guys won't be whining and criticizing if we lose to ND.

Sure sign you’re new here. JJ/JL need no explanation.

Look at the bright side. Gives the guys who will probably start the following season a chance for game experience against a quality opponent in a high profile game. Not to mention the weeks of practice with the first team.
