Well, it was pretty weird when he scored the TD and LOTS of people didn't cheer. Then when he made some nice runs, I saw people sitting on their hands, gritting their teeth. It was a crazy, strange phenomonon in that stadium. Like I've said, I was shocked.

FIFY. I hate booing your own team but anyone trying to make this a 'black guy' thing is barking up the wrong tree. LSU fans do not discriminate when it comes to booing.
Good grief LSU made the mistake one night of playing a women's home game in basketball before a men's game in like 82 or 83 or so and the ladies lost to some state team like SE. People were booing them like nobody's business with some of these poor girls just boo-hooing in the bench.

no .. you're right .. there aren't any players on this team that were pissed at JJ for putting himself in a position to get suspended for the first four games of the season .. they all, in unison, completely understand and were behind his decision to do this 100% !

I don't condone booing JJ at all...
But those players' comments are a bit ridiculous, considering the Fan Rally that took place at the practice facility to show support for them during the midst of all the turmoil...
Booing is classless, but come on Tiger Players...don't make rash generalizations!

i'll be neither pissed nor surprised .. i am disappointed in JJ .. but i didn't boo him when he came in and i cheered him when he scored the touchdown .. but i am disappointed in him .. i am not going to write this off as something the typical college kid does because jefferson isn't, by choice, a typical college kid ... he's the starting QB for a very high profile college football program .. so no, i am also not going to think of him in terms as being the typical college kid ..

From what I saw Saturday, I'll be surprised now if he doesn't get booed the next time he runs on the field to take a snap.
I certainly hope it's over, but I'm not so sure it is for some fans.

I agree with this to a point. This situation has just brought out the worst in a lot of people though. I was within earshot of quite a few racist comments Saturday when Jefferson got in.

Kind of hard to be optimistic about it. Some of the people around me were PISSED. I've never seen anything like it. I don't see how these same people will be ok with it a week later. I mean, they were THAT pissed off by it.
