The booing was expected and deserved
You think Johns would've been booed if he ran out onto the field?

What's shameful is our players being involved in a bar fight right before the seaon.
Blanket statements like this crack me up. I agree JJ and several others on the team made a big mistake getting mixed up into a fight that night. But these are college kids and that stuff happens - everywhere.
No way anyone was booing because they were disappointed in our starting QB for jeopardizing the season. The ones booing never wanted JJ to start anyway. They were happy he did what he did to get in trouble. They are just pissed he's back now. So don't mask this as anything else.

Zero, because fans are ridiculous and selfish.
I'll use Colin's words.....Fan is short for FANATIC. You always have to remember that.

I think Johns situation is worst than Jefferson because all charges have been dropped on him. The only appropriate thing would have been to sit Ryan Baker and play Johns a couple plays to show the fans this was a team effort. Johns didn't get in for one play. Miles again shows favoritism to his lovechild.

I just don't understand what people think will be gained by booing. If anything, it will just work to ignite whatever tension may exist or work to plant that seed of doubt in the players.
I just hope we don't boo our undefeated, No. 1 ranked team on national TV this Saturday. Sometimes our fans are just like some dumb redneck or welfare queen who won the lottery--can't handle success.

Agreed.
It's laughable, at best, the excuse these people keep coming up with about booing "Miles' decision." What a crock of shite. There hasn't been a bigger lie on this board since I've been here and I've been here a while.
If Josh Johns came on the field, no one would have booed anyone. If Jarvis Landry would have gotten suspended and he came back and put in the lineup, no one would have booed.

3 year starting QB =/= 3rd string Special teams player. Has nothing to do with favoritism.

who was the last high profile quarterback at this level of a top five national championship contending team that did something like this two weeks before the start of the season and got themselves suspended for the first third of the regular season ? since this happens "everywhere" and all ..

There would be no boos in this scenario, because we would've needed JJ. See, it has nothing to do with the actual mistake he made. People are booing because they love JL now and hate JJ. Pretty simple.

Allegedly. You forget that he hasn't been proven guilty of anything other than breaking curfew.

i disagree .. i think he would have gotten booed ... and by your logic, JL has gotten booed far worse than JJ ever has in his career here at LSU ..

but I never saw that coming. Shameful really
I didnt see that coming either. I was at the game Sat and it totally took me by surprise. I thought it was classless and distasteful. I'm just glad my 9 yr old who was at his first game in TS didn't ask why that was going on. You cant cheer if your booing

Is one case of booing worse than the other? I don't know. But 3 years ago the fans were hating JL because of the pitiful play on the field. I didn't like the booing then of a freshman QB but I know why they booed. I still can't figure out why fans were booing JJ this past Saturday. I expected cheers. Seriously.

he's got an all star lawyer representing him ( i wonder how that is being paid for, btw), that is going to take a tiny error in investigation and exploit it .. that is what good lawyers do ... there is enough evidence and enough witnesses to nail this on jefferson with lesser or little legal counsel .. justice is what you can afford and someone's paying a pretty penny for him to have one of BR's superstars represent him ...

either way .. it is no fricking big deal .. when jefferson makes plays the rest of the way to contribute to this team's continued success on the field, he is going to get cheered ..

Sometimes I wonder why I waste time on here. Occasionally I read a post like this and I am reminded that there are many normal, rational thinking Tiger fans out there. Thanks and +1.
If Lee and Mett were strugging up to the KY game many of the same people booing JJ would have been cheering his return.

the players tweeting that shite, deep down, felt the same way when it happened ..

your team captain is supposed to be leading his team away from the bar fight .. not into it

jefferson got what he deserved .. he put this season at risk when he made the choice he did

No it's not that simple.
Fans want JLEE as the starter.
He's done everything a player needs to do to win over fan support.
JJ.. not so much, I dont htink anyone hates him.. they must dont want him replaceing Lee.

how pissed will you be if the charges are dropped? jus wonderin'

well, the players can have their opinions. I did not boo and wish it did not happen, but the players have to understand that boo'ing was predominantly aimed at CLM for his decision to reward JJ for the drive that Lee led the team down the field on. If the opposite happened, the JJ fans would be steamed.
I understand why CLM did what he did, I understand how the players are so far from the paying fans perspective that they did not like it, and I understand why some fans were pissed and boo'ed.
Get over it damnit
