I am fine with this model, especially since they HAVE to stay at least 3 years

LSU recruits players with the selling point that you can get to the NFL. It should be no surprise that kids come to LSU and leave for the same reason.

Top 25 NCAA D-1 football is to a large extent minor league football, some of you all forget it or do not realize it.

players that may go in the 6th and 7th round should not be entering the draft....unless seniors.
or some INCREDIBLE family need.

After this year LSU will have more NFL players than any other school. Potentially all 10 of those might get drafted, even though some underperformed this year. More than half are rated as high to mid picks. How many people you know make more than $400,000 per year?? How many of those are 21-22 year old's?

The coaches have been trying to sign more than 25 players in this years recruiting class. To do that they would need heavy attrition from players leaving early for the draft. They've known these players were leaving for a while. Lots of players these days have the 3 and done mentality. I guarantee you most of these players deciding they were going pro a long time ago.

Let's fire him. He's just and idiot anyway. I'm sure they're are droves of coaches out there who would could win at least 80% of their games and are dying to work at a school that just fired a coach that did.

I can't wait for him to leave just so I can watch this board verbally rape the next guy to come along.

I agree. LSU needs to get back to changing coaches every few years. That would be more representative of the mentality of its fan base.

First off, what do guys like Ware and Ford have to gain? Nothing, they have been passed by a more talented back.

Secondly, how do you know these guys situations? You dont have a clue what is going on with any of these guys.

Third, some of these guys (Mingo, Mont, Faulk, Minter, Logan) are all projected top 5 at their position. They may not be first round picks, but to be top 5 at a position gaurentees them being drafted.

4th, a few have already graduated and/or have children

5th, all the players have 3-4 years experience already. LSU has played more freshmen than any other school the last few years.

but lets just ignore all those logical reasons and claim that its because they hate the coaching staff and the offense

Absolutely. Not to mention, like the other guy said...some of these guys have legitimately been here for 4 years.

Well maybe they are tired of school. I really can't fault some of them who have no intention of using their degrees for a career.

shite I would be a practice squad all-american for a 100K per year. It's easy to understand how players want to leave when 7th round picks are making more money than doctors

I still don't understand how we did not win title in 2006. Four 1st round picks taken after that season. One of the most dominant teams in LSU history.

You are an idiot.

Go check how many players Bama had leave last year that were not seniors. Try educating yourself before you come on here just spewing bullshite.

2. Dre Kirkpatrick & Trent Richardson.
