I think it's funny how LSU fans like to spin the loss of all these players into it being such an awesome thing how many guys we put in the NFL.
If it were Bama I can assure you Tiger fans would be blasting them about everyone "jumping ship" for the pros.
Yes, I think it shows that we have great talent and I hope these guys can make some money for their family, but is it a good thing when all these people leave? Esp some that could be better off by waiting.

If my son was in any of these guys situations (most of them are not well off some have families to support) I would advise them to leave early if they are told they will be drafted. In any round. The NFL is now set up for you to make it to the 2nd contract to be paid big. That means avoiding injury, deterioration, and aging. These guys avoid none of these by staying.
Only reason to stay is if they are interested in a degree in case nfl doesn't pan out. Most are not interested in this.
They, unlike crazy fans, understand that it is not easy to win a championship and even sometimes takes a little luck (see every national champ ever) and know how to weigh the odds.

Its also pretty funny how most people (yes, literally >50%) said they couldn't give a shite about the "chicken bowl" and whether or not we even won the game. Most said "who cares, it isn't the championship". Am I the only who remembers that commentary?
Then we lose the game, and its fricking melt down time and that we are the 6th team in the SEC and we are headed to the shitter.

Which players would drastically improve their stock by staying another year?

Outside of being in the final two leading into the title game, why do you care where we are ranked? What's the differnce between #9 and #14 or #11?
Top 10 and top 5 rankings are pretty good goals to reach. If it doesn't matter where we finish if we're not #1, why don't we just quit on the rest of the season if we lose to Alabama. Well, I guess we kind of did in 2008 and 2012. So maybe you have a point, if we're not first, we just quit.

Maybe you should check out how much A&M is losing before you get your panties too bunched.
Also check our whats going to happen UGA's defense.
A&M is bringing a ton back. Not all of their first round offensive lineman decided to declare for the draft.
As for UGA's defense, they could be playing 11 freshmen next year and we'd still find a way to rack up 5 or 6 three and outs, about 300 total yards, and about 125 passing yards for the game.

For the record, you can search my post history and you won't find any such statement coming from me.
I thought the Chick Fil A Bowl was a great chance to shut down another ACC opponent, finish the season ranked in the top 5 (probably 5th with a win), build momentum going into next season, and cement ourselves with a top preseason ranking next year (yes, unfortunately preseason rankings matter in colleg football).

I agree with this, but that definitely was not my statement.

A&M is losing the best OL in the country and they are losing their #2 RB and #2 and #3 WRs. Those 3 guys accounted for 27 TDs last season alone. That is significant.

Ok well you don't really have any argument or basis for that, you are just bitter that we lost against Clemson and are losing a bunch of defensive players, which is understandble. Once that wears off and you realize what UGA is losing next season, you will realize they are going to be hurting pretty badly on defensive side of the ball.

So when we talk about players leaving early should we just not count them since they were really on campus for 4 years or would you rather keep having a double standard to make LSU's situation sound worse than it is?
? I answered a question about how many of Alabama's juniors left early last season. 2 juniors and a redshirt junior. That has nothing to do with "LSU's situation".

Well then you were in the better % of our fans. And I have a feeling that in the very near future after the bitter feeling of losing the bowl game and our juniors leaving passes you will be back to realizing we will be ok in 2013/

Faulk. Probably the only one.

I don't think any offensive players for LSU will drastically improve by staying.

Exactly. I don't see what the fuss is about. Players come and go in the college game.
