Texas was coming off a bowl win vs the GA team that was ranked #4 going into Sat and finished 5

Let those that discount what LSU did there under the circumstances schedule a team that wins their bowl game versus a #5 this year, on the road to begin next season.

Win that game, then get back to me

Love seeing all 5 offensive linemen running as soon as Joe throws it.

The sound makes this even better. The huge cheers from UGA fans thinking it was a sure sack, followed by the slow silencing of those fans and the more distant LSU fans cheering as the ball is caught

3rd and 10 Joe to Clyde with the fingertip catch and absolute refusal to be denied the first down. That play was monumental in that game.

What really makes that play incredible is that even after all that running for his life he threw a strike 40+ yards downfield to a receiver who wasn't even supposed to be in that area. Unreal.

Most important play of the year to me was Clyde's low catch and forcing his way for a first down late in the game

Sometimes the true "play of the year" isn't the huge touchdown. But IMO, it's this play.

In my mind, the play of the year isn't necessarily the gliztiest or makes the Sportscenter Top 10, but the one that meant the most to the outcome of the season.

If CEH doesn't make that play, Bama probably gets the ball back with all the momentum and a chance to take the lead. If they did, the outcome of the game is a coin flip.

Bama wins, gets the SECCG spot, and LSU may not even be in the playoffs.

Season could've been totally different if not for that play.

Early season game on the road I suppose.

They had the crowd, juiced up more by the movie star, they have a loaded roster and everyone was healthy except a running back. After that game, their starters looked much different and they continued to have more injuries. I still think it was one of our better wins this year.

Kind of wonder why we struggled so much against them. Early season game on the road I suppose.

They had a lot of injuries this year. We played them at basically their healthiest. They lost 3 DBs and a LB vs Texas Tech alone.

Same can be said for 3rd and 17. Miss that, and Texas drives to the take the lead with how our defense played that day. Who knows how their season turns out if they win that, but it certainly would have dampened ours.

I still agree with yours as well. shite, there were so many amazing plays that made a difference this year, it's impossible to pick just one

True. But the Bama play gets the nod, because even with a loss to Texas, LSU is still in the SECCG and a probable playoff berth.

But if LSU lost the Bama game, they lose the West to Bama.

Fair to say that LSU might've still made it to playoffs without winning the West, but nobody knows for sure. I'd feel pretty confident though that a 12-1 SEC Champ LSU whose only loss was on the road to UT early in the season is safely in the #3 or #4 spot.

That spin move by Helaire will be EPIC for years to come. Hate to say it but any of the last 10 RB's for LSU in the past years would have been stuffed behind the line on that play. Plays that result in TD's are most important in my mind since they're the only ones that count on the score board. Since Bama has been our sticking point for years and years, I think these plays highlighted with Helaire here would get my vote for a 1st place tie in plays of the year, as high as I am on Burrow. That could be Burrow's top play of the year though.

I'm a third and 17 guy. That play prevented a possible defeat, and it was amazing.

ehhh, no man, that's receiving 101 stuff. Now, the run after the catch, and Joe's escapability were other-worldly.

This one (from Top Billin') show's another camera angle that follows the receivers and how they react when Joe scrambles.
