Big Woodrow's is worth the drive for any out-of-town guests or you can find one of their Little Woodrow's locations around town.

Big Woodrows is no longer an LSU bar. New owners. Not really a reason for out of town LSU people to go anymore.

I'll also be at the PGA party. Had a great time at the ones in Nola and Dallas.

Hey KK, quick question. Is Lucky's the best option for catching some Premier League matches that Saturday morning? I'd like to start gameday at a place showing both Game Day and some BPL action, not sure where to go downtown to do so.

Sorry to just now answer this. SpringBok is more likely to carry Premier League games, but I would call and see if they open that early. If Lucky's is open, it would be a good spot, but it's a decent walk from central downtown.

KK another question if you don't mind. Any good sports bars in the Medical Center/Rice Village area? Little Woodrow's, Baker Street Pub or others? Thanks

It's not worth the drive at all. I went there for the first few road games that happened after I moved to Houston but it's just not worth driving to the "Galleria" area for just that. The Little Woodrow's locations are much superior due to their proximity to other things. The midtown and EaDo locations are in good locations in proximity of several other things to do.

I'm much more knowledgeable about other areas of town. Rice Village isn't really my jam. I think your best bet is going to be Little Woodrows though. There's also an Irish bar just down the street (next to Bronx Bar) that I think has a good TV situation.

Brian O'Neils = closed. Not sure what has replaced it though.

We were in RV a couple of weeks ago and another Irish style pub is set to open in that location soon. Little Woodrows, Baker Street, 55 , BWW all possibilities in that area. Actually only about 10 minute drive from the stadium and has a big parking garage right in the middle so you can wander from place to place pretty easily. Ginger Man is a good place to drink and hang out but only has a couple of small tv's.

trying to weather the Houston traffic. It's very competitive, and lots of people don't signal lane changes. They just change lanes. It's a wonder there aren't more accidents than there are!

55 bar is my favorite, really good food. Little Woodrow's is great too, and you can takeout tacos from Torchy's a little down the street if you want to stay there. Buffalo Wild Wing's is a couple blocks away, so not as easy to walk from bar to bar
