If the season ended today, how do we line up our pitching in hoover to get ready for Regional weekend?

Honestly wished they could just decline the SEC tournament and get ready and healthy for regionals

Yeah I say we pitch Skenes and then see if we can win a second game with Floyd and if we’re alive after that just throw a bunch of pitchers in the 3 rd game while we sort of hope to lose so we can get right for the regional.

Under no circumstance does Skenes pitch on short rest for a meaningless tournament.

I honestly would not hate them losing early to be rested for regional.

If a guy needs rest before the regionals, then you give him rest and don't pitch him in the SECT. If you fee you are locked in as a top 8 see the SECT is almost completely irrelevant. In fact, it's probably more of a burden.

In no circumstances whatsoever do you pitch Skenes or, even Floyd, on short rest. There is no reason to. If you are still playing by the time those guys' normal day in the rotation comes up, pitch them. Otherwise, they sit.

Assuming LSU closes out the season relatively strong the playing to win the SECT should be a complete afterthought

This week’s series starts on Friday. Next week’s starts on Thursday. First game in Hoover is on Wednesday.

Don’t think Skenes throws game 1 in Hoover.

Wouldn't the top 4 seeds have Wednesday off? So that'd be a full 6 days rest if Skenes pitches Thursday against Georgia and then Thursday in Hoover.

Updated: Nevermind. I checked the SECT schedule and LSU's first game would be Wednesday. And it's double elimination so let Skenes pitch Thursday in Hoover.

If/when Skenes and Floyd pitch in the tournament I hope they have a ceiling of 60 pitches. I don’t care what the score is.

I didn’t realize game 1 was Wednesday, they’ll probably start one of money, Hurd, Guidry, I also think Hurd will be the Sunday starter for the next 2 weekends so it’ll be between Money and Guidry

I would throw the first game like a midweek game, Skenes in Game 2, Floyd if there’s a game after that.

Lsu should get bye and not play till Thurs
Skenes would be on normal rest
I would not run up his pitch count though maybe around 80-90
Regionals not till fri so he would get extra day rest

So much wrong with this

1. The SECT starts on tuesday. We'll get bye and play Wednesday
2. Regionals start Friday but Skenes wont start vs a 4 seed

Skenes should end up with 2 extra days rest if he starts on Thursday in Hoover
