They're pursuing a medical redshirt year for him for this season. That indicates to some degree that he will come back. He's not a guy that will command a huge signing bonus, so his decision will be based mostly around how soon does he want to pursue pro ball. His offers there won't change meaningfully from this year to next.

Paz and Ricken have so much potential
Hopefully both return as well as Moore - at least he throws strikes

Rizy probably moves onto pro ball - a mlb team can fix him

I know Evans wants to be a starter and if LSU doesn't commit to that another team will but he needs to go back to the bullpen

we have a ton of young pitchers.

Evans, sophomore
Schmidt, sophomore
Rizy, sophomore
Cooper Williams, sophomore
Lachenmayer, sophomore
Plog, sophomore
Ricken, freshman
Sheerin, sophomore
Theophilus, freshman
Paz, freshman

I feel pretty good about that core. None of those guys have been worse than the upper classmen

It’s not going to be a complete overhaul but it will be some changes for sure. He is not running it back next year with these guys. No way in hell he keeps some of these guys

Do any of you mind explaining to me why we are bad at pitching but lead the league in strikeouts. Is it as simple as boom or bust?

We need a Friday starter every year.

But there is a much better chance our Friday night guy is already on the staff.

Some of yall don't realize the difference in our team from last year to this year re: pitching and it's very obvious. Last year we could count on Fri/Sat to go at least 7-8 innings of elite level pitching. The shite rolls down the hill as they say.

I think every LSU fan in the universe understands the difference in starting pitching we are getting in 2026 vs. 2025.

What in the world are you talking about?

Where he at? Moore would be the only option for Friday starter

Moore is probably the 3rd most likely option.
