Mainieri unlike the LSU fan base took Southern Miss seriously. Tried to gather LSU fans into thinking the same way, but it was like trying to herd chickens.

Teams in LSU’s region were two of the highest scoring. As soon as Fla State won, many fans were idiotically looking pass LSU’s current opponents. Then when LSU lost the lead to Southern Miss in the 4th, the same fan base turned psychotic on Mainieri.

How long have you been reading the Rant? Don't you know by now that folks lose their shite when we fall behind? It's human nature in some cases; "catastrophe syndrome" or the chicken little effect. The immediate response is to blame the coach. In the heat of the moment it doesn't mean shite.
The real idiots are the one who think that Mainieri should be shown the door or be Woodward's short leash even though he is one of elite coaches in the NCAA.

Yes, Southern Miss was rightfully predicted as an offensive threat, they were one swing away in the 9th from winning 7-6 or easily extending the innings with players on 2nd and 3rd. Admit you should have taken them seriously, be man don’t chicken out. I admit I was wrong about LSU when they were losing starting pitchers.
