Yup. Can't blame them for thinking that. Since we've been in band we have played 1 song on the field from this century (dynamite). Not that we are bad, because from a talent standpoint we are as good as anyone, but if I'm a football fan watching us I want something I can drunkenly sing along to. We don't appeal to that crowd anymore.

PA music sucks.
Now go fill my coffee cup and it had better be hot.
Chop-chop.

It even sounds loud watching it tv. That must be a really good sound system that just isn't being utilized properly. However, I've been seeing the players dancing more so maybe it pumps them up.

There ARE several reasons that Death Valley WAS the most-feared venue in college football and among the toughest anywhere. I get the ticket prices but our band kicked a$$ with out all of that institutional, uninspired piped in noise. Bring back the magic - without DiNardo!

They should have piped in Black Sabbath during the half-time show. The musical selections are terrible.
It's half-time at a football game. People want to hear tunes they recognize. James bond themes = yes. The musical stylings of "Chuck" Corea as announced = terrible (and I appreciate Chick Corea).
"7 nation army" could die a slow death though.

I know this is a complaint of a lot of fans and ppl on this board. I made a point of paying close attention last night and its down right ridiculous. There were times when you couldn't even hear Dan Borne make announcements because of it. Other times it was played when the TGBFTL was playing. I have no problem with it when the band is making its way to the field and such. But that shite should never be played when the band is in the stands. LSU has always been unique in that they have a song for almost ever situation on the field. Now with the piped in music the band doesn't play half as much as they did just a few years ago. The Auburn band actually played more than the Golden Band. The bands are one of the things that makes the college football experience special. Now its turning into just another NFL or NBA game.
I agree with every word. The piped-in music made me wish I'd brought ear plugs at times.

I heard Auburn play it too. I guess every college plays that now? It's so original.

I'm with OP 100%.
I don't like the way LSU football ,from an atmosphere/marketing perspective, is headed
