It does remind me of those "1970's hats with the mesh backing."

I think they're butt-ugly, but I can see the flash of white messing with opposing batters so I'll let it go for now.

Yes. They are horrible. The kids these days didn't live through that style back in the 70's so they think it's cool. I think they look horrible. Did I say that already?
