yeah i kinda thought this too. but most of the other walls in the house were already a light gray, and i wanted to differentiate it from the other rooms. plus the purple i picked out doesn't look bad on the walls imo.
my wife originally wanted to do gold/yellow. we painted the entire room and it was fricking horrible. so i really liked the purple compared to that

i didn't use the home depot colors. i got samples of them and put it on the wall, but it just didn't look right. the purple was too deep and it looked closer to dark blue/black
we have a sherwin williams close to the house so i ended up going there and got the purple i wanted. i think i tried 2-3 before i found one i liked. i can get you the name of it when i get home from work if you're interested

Great LSU room!
And I don't find it as cluttered as the other that remarked so. But, may I suggest that the three pictures on each edge of the doors, and above the light switches, are just too cramped and not to scale..looks cramped on those 90* angle edges.
I'd take the LSU #1 pic and Champs, level them side-by-side, then put three SI mags on top of them and three below, or maybe all six above?

My walls are off white, I'm just doing 3 stripes though.
1 thick LSU gold one and 2 thinner purple ones on the outside.

Sweet. The purple I used was Izmir Purple #6825 if you were wondering.

That's not a bad idea...I've been trying to come up with something else to do on that wall. It's pretty empty compared to the others. I think i'm gonna try that. Thanks for the suggestion.
