This is how the throwback uniform should look like. Classy with so much tradition, specially the helmets. Not a big fan of Nike's design, as per what has been posted here.
Also, I just wanted to share with fellow Tiger fans, what a great photo this is.

the nike uniforms arent throwbacks
they have a "throwback element"
that being the helmet
it is pretty much the same with all of the unis nike is putting out for the promotion
im not sure why people are convinced that the intent was to make the entire uni look like something from the 1940's

Is that Cannon? He had some big legs...I figured all those dudes back then were tiny.
And is he not wearing a chin strap? How did those things stay on their head?

I guess my bad, been comparing with the NFL's throwback idea this season, I suppose.

Probably they were meant to fit very tight.

Cannon in his prime could start for any modern day team. Dude was fast and shifty, not just by 1950s standards.

as long as you are ne of the people that realizes the change is only for one game and isnt about to burn down the nike offices for ruining our tradition...you are ok in my book

Those guys look like they're at least in their 30's.

65 looks like he is trying to give a nut shot.
Football was a little more "tough" back in the day.

Rumor is that he was as big as most of the lineman

I thought that Cannon was the biggest player on the team.

That is a great picture. Cannon was pretty damn big. Altough I think KW calves are bigger.

Boys became men at an early age in those days. Back then childhood was longer with a short adolescence then early manhood. Now, true childhood (by that I mean the age of innocence) is very short, but adolescence is greatly extended, with many never reaching true manhood (the age of responsibility).

Look at the face of #68 for Baylor - he looks no younger than 40.
