I heard Mainieri state on the radio about 10 minutes ago that this isn't the first time Bregs has been out there taking ground balls alone. Said that one night he was out there in the dark because no one could figure out how to turn the lights on. There was just a small amount of light from the football practice facility to give him a little bit of illumination. Also, said that he has caught him taking batting practice early in the am while everyone else is sleeping.

To put what CPM said in a better context, he said he's seen Bregman in the batting cage at 8:00 am on Sunday mornings. Presumably after getting in late from the Sat game the nite before. But what I really love bout him is his not wearing batting gloves unless it's really cold. Super old school.
