Phil Steele has our DL ranked #2 & DB ranked #3...

Who are the teams that he has rated ahead of our guys? I'm guessing he has South Carolina DL rated ahead of our DL. Don't have a clue whose secondary he would consider better than ours.

He has FSU ahead of us at DL:
DL:
1. FSU
2. LSU
3. Florida
4. Texas
5. Alabama
He has Texas and Oklahoma St ahead of us at DB:
DB:
1. Texas
2. Oklahoma St
3. LSU
4. Oklahoma
5. Alabama
Oklahoma St had a ton of INTs last season but they gave up tons of yards through the air. He has been sucking on Texas' balls every year so it isn't surprising that he has them up there.
I still don't see how he thinks Florida has better STs than us considering our specialists and returners.

FWIW Steele said on Bill King's show that he rates units the same way he rates teams: by how successful they will be based on their competition. Since FSU, being in the ACC, will see lesser comp, their D Line will be more "dominant" than LSU's. Like I said, take it FWIW

FSU does have a good dline but they're not better than LSU, sorry...

Amen. What a joke. I hate preseason magazines. I used to buy all of them in the summer, but now I know how much pure bullshite it is. There are about 1000 misspelled names, wrong positions, wrong numbers, wrong classification etc. on top of the bullshite position rankings like this for instance.

I don't know about the rest of their DBs but OSU has one very legit CB. Small dude that is a baller like Mathieu.
