I doubt you'll see anybody in the top 10 tout a performance like that in a 29-0 shutout against a major rival.

But I digress. Nobody is saying that Jefferson is a bad WR, I'm just not sure I see him break the Top 5 of that list based on performance & physicality. Some people just need to realize you don't get extra brownie points for wearing purple & gold.

My point is that he was the only offensive player in that game that didn't suck. He stat line 6 catches for 81 yards. LSU got 5 first downs that game and he accounted for 3 of them. He also had plenty of good games that year.

Statistically, in 2018, he did better than just about any LSU receiver since OBJ and Landry. Before the 2019 season he was basically the only proven skill player on the team.

The issue we are discussing is they don't have him in the top 10 more or less the top 5.

efferson has been underrated his entire life and continues to exceed expectations. I do hope the Saints are able to pick him up late. If not him then hopefully a cornerback to fit in opposite of Lattimore. Doubtful they'll be able to pick up a franchise QB that late in the first round. Jefferson would be excellent in the Saints offense.

I believe that Jefferson will be available by the end of the second round as well.

I think Jefferson will be the 5th or 6th WR off the board late 1st Round. He's definitely one of the most polished WRs in the draft class. Plus attributes in everything, with no glaring weaknesses. Not afraid of catching slants in the middle of the field and makes back shoulder catches look easy. A player with a very high floor but a lower ceiling than other top prospects.

Doesn't seem to make many highlight reel catches, but you don't have to make circus catches when you're that good at getting open.

Im aware & my original point was that Top 10 seems fair. Top 5? Not so much.

If you stat junkies can’t see the difference between Justin Jefferson & Jerry Juedy from an NFL prospect standpoint, I don’t think anyone can help pull your head out of your arse.

No dumbass, my comparison wasn't in regards to Jerry Jeudy and Justin Jefferson from an NFL prospect standpoint. I responded to your dumbass thought that Jeudy excelled for multiple years and Jefferson didn't. The fact that Jefferson came up 63 yards short of Jeudys total with the same amount of touchdowns over two seasons proves that that thought was moronic. Maybe Jeudy is a better route runner but who truly knows. Jeudy didn't perform much better against a weaker schedule than LSU played over the last two seasons. LSU played 14 ranked teams over the last two seasons. Alabama played 9. Jeudy did it in the same conference division with another Heisman candidate QB as well. All of this is just to point out that Jefferson has excelled for more than one season. Jeudy has a ton of hype because he won the Biletnikoff as a sophomore. Other than that he hasn't done a ton to separate himself from Jefferson. Jeudy is 6'1 192 lbs. Jefferson is 6'3 192 lbs. What has Jeudy done that's so exceptional compared to Jefferson. Route running? Isn't that one of Jeffersons strengths as well? I just don't buy that one is on a completely different level from an NFL standpoint than the other. I also don't buy that Jefferson isn't a top 10 receiving target coming out of college this year.

I think it depends on what a team is looking for. Jefferson has great hands, and is a good route runner.. but he wasn't necessarily an explosive threat (his yards/catch is outside of the top 100 whereas the rest of his stats were in the top 5-10). He'll be a great NFL player but his draft position will depend on what teams are valuing.. I think the list may be close..

Thanks bro. This is just a reminder not to make stupid points in threads about NFL prospects that have no basis in reality, sport.

I wasn't impressed with jeudy or Higgins.

Ceedee could've done more damage if hurts was more accurate or had more time in the pocket.

Dude is used to being disrespected.

Let him drop to the Saints and catch passes from Drew Brees for the next 3-4 years with Michael Thomas getting doubled on the other side and Tre-Quan running go routes pulling a safety that direction.

Poof! Jetts!

You're a dumbass. Jefferson runs good solid routes and he appears to have speed as well as elusiveness. He almost never drops the ball either. He showed he can be physical. For them not to have him on the top 10 list is absolutely bonkers stupid just like he wasn't even up with Chase for best WR in the country. Nobody said he should win it but he definitely deserved the recognition. The 3-4 guys you could maybe argue are better than him like Higgins folded like a little bitch against top competition in LSU/OSU CBs. Jefferson has been consistent against top CBs his entire career at LSU and got progressively better.

He's the type of player where a good combine will sky rocket him up boards. If he runs something like a 4.4 and shows good agility drills he's going to be a 1st rounder. From a ceiling and talent perspective you could argue a couple guys on that list ahead of him but no way is he out of that top 5 list from any scout's eyes. Of course, if he doesn't show out at the combine what you see on tape then I could understand him not being on that list. I'm doubting it because his brothers all had good athleticism. Think his older brother ran a 4.4.

If I could have one of those receivers it would be either Laviska or Jeudy. Jefferson has intangibles and stats to back up his argument- I’d take him probably 5th or 6th.

Jefferson Head-to-Head against playoff caliber (or elite) competition...
Bama - 7 rec; 79 yards; 0 TD
Okies - 14 rec; 227 yards; 4 TDs
Clemson - 9 rec; 106 yards; 0 TD

Juedy, Ruggs, Lamb, Higgins against LSU:
Juedy - 5 rec, 71 yards, 1 TD
Ruggs - 3 rec, 68 yards, 0 TD
Lamb - 4 rec, 119 yards, 0 TD
Higgins - 3 rec, 52 yards, 0

Average per game Juedy, Ruggs, Lamb, Higgins:
3,8 rec; 77.5 yards; ,25 TD

Jefferson average against Bama, OK, Clemson:
10 rec. 137 yards, 1.25 TDs

BTW, Tua, Hurts, and Lawrence have all been invited to the Heisman ceremonies at one time or another - these aren't Juco QBs

You’re opinion left the building when you implied conferences mattering when it came to succeeding the the NFL.

Success in the NFL has MUCH more to do with your physical attributes than racking up stats under the greatest QB to every go through the program.

Jefferson will have the last laugh when he spends 10 years in the league. Dude has great hands and is the best route runner at LSU since Josh Reed.

Good. More chance to drop so the Saints can get him to be the #2
