It's a very deep WR class this year. That said, I suspect the "knock" on Jefferson is a (presumed) lack of big time speed AND he's pretty slightly built for a guy listed at 6'3"

His 40 time is going to be the determining factor on if he rises up draft boards. Clearly he can catch. Clearly he can run good routes. It's just the physical aspects that I think teams have questions about.

He is an elite route runner and that was clear in 2018.i think at best he is an absolute stud number two WR on a good team.

If he is around in the second and the Texans can grab they’d be stupid not too, they missed on Jarvis and I’ve never forgiven them

I remember when Jarvis Landry was undersize and too slow to start in the NFL too.

Sure, but his physical evidence last year was pretty decent. He was the only LSU player with a pulse against Bama last year.
If he was the only one with a pulse, how exactly do you explain Chase, who had 61 more yards & actually scored a TD against them? Hell, Clyde arguably had a better receiving performance than Jefferson in that game

A good rule to live by is... never underestimate Justin Jefferson. Dude came through in the clutch for us so many times the past two seasons. 4 touchdowns in one half of a playoff game too
100% this. He has been extremely dependable in clutch situations over the last 2 years. He was Burrow's primary target when we needed a first down on so many tough drives.

I’d put JJ up against all those guys. Might not have the speed as some, but he’s got the quickness, the size, and the hands to be a top tier NFL receiver. I hope he does drop and the saints pick him up.

Well even though the last season LSU played was 2019, your intent definitely makes more sense.

Jefferson's performance in the 2018 Bama game where we got shut out means absolutely nothing though

I almost bothered with a thought-out response and then saw this. No offense, but you’re dumber than a postage stamp.

You said he didn't have multiple years of proven performance so what happened in 2018 matters.

I’ll tell you this, Chase is better than everyone on that list.

They also have Sullivan at the 9 spot on TE but no Moss. Even tho 1 started over the other.

I think it would be cool if the Bengals took him and paired him with Joe. Gives him a guy he's familiar with to start off his career.

I doubt you'll see anybody in the top 10 tout a performance like that in a 29-0 shutout against a major rival.

But I digress. Nobody is saying that Jefferson is a bad WR, I'm just not sure I see him break the Top 5 of that list based on performance & physicality. Some people just need to realize you don't get extra brownie points for wearing purple & gold.

Jefferson is a top-4 WR, IMO. And, I wouldn't argue against a #1 ranking for Jefferson.

I can't speak for the bottom 10, but this group has multiple years of excelling at their position, not just one season with a Heisman winning QB

1. Ceedee Lamb, Oklahoma
2. Jerry Jeudy, Alabama
3. Laviska Shenault Jr., Colorado
4. Henry Ruggs, Alabama
5. Tee Higgins, Clemson

Not to mention, the PFF people aren't "fricking morons". I can't say the same for ranters.

Alright well let's compare Jefferson to one of your "multiple year" talents then. Jefferson excelled this year and last year. He had 875 yards and 6 tds last season in a horrible offensive scheme. This season he had 1540 yards and 18 tds. Jerry Jeudy had 2,478 yards and 24 touchdowns the last two seasons. Jefferson had 2,415 yards and 24 touchdowns the last two seasons. So Jefferson had 63 yards less and the same amount of tds over the last two YEARS. My point being, you saying Jefferson only had one good year with a Heisman QB is moronic, "fricking moron."

Yeah, but PFF's niche is to focus on the on-field play, not the body type.

Jefferson was also a part of one of the best passing offenses in the history of football

If you stat junkies can’t see the difference between Justin Jefferson & Jerry Juedy from an NFL prospect standpoint, I don’t think anyone can help pull your head out of your arse.

But hey, that’s why you get paid the big bucks analyzing nfl prospects while these nfl scouts sit on a message board all day.

Just one more chance for him to overachieve.
