DBs havent exactly been lock down with Mallory this season
Defense coordinator he sucked at
Peveto coached the linebackers and there is not a worse tackling group of players at LSU other than the linebackers.

In other words, we can do much better finding someone to coach their respected positions

“Fired” may be a trick word since they could be demoted and still on staff.
But they will no longer be DC at LSU – either at the end of the ’08 season or in the not so distant future when the entire staff is sent packing because of their inadequacy as DC.

coaching and execution are 2 different things. but at some point you change the player. if not, change the coach.

tackling is one thing and its bad. But have you looked at the scheme? No pressure on QB, and DBs playing 10yds off the ball and letting WR have an open lane to catch the ball each time.

wow.....do you know ANYTHING about football dynamics? They are most certianly to blame for their UNITS poor tackling. If it were 1 player, fine. But, it is the defensive majority not tackling and that = coaching.

Whoever is the new DC needs to be someone who KNOWS how to implement whatever scheme he is implementing. The ability to teach and implement the scheme is exactly what is missing.
