I’d much prefer a live organist over a dead one.

Count me in. I would enjoy a man playing with his organ at the Box.

As a Cubs fan
You lost all credibility at this. The Cubs fricking suck. Joke of a franchise.
Go to a game at Wrigley and you'll change your tune. I'm an Astros fan, but Wrigley is special. Joke or not, no one has the atmosphere that Wrigley does.

Alex Box deserves its upgrades. Yes, the new box was an excellent move, but out of necessity for campus expansion and development.
Alex Box deserves its own focus not simply to be bigger and out of the way.
The view of Tiger Stadium beyond center field is iconic. That view needs to be supplemented with modern surroundings.
From left to right:
- Left field stands removed for an elevated restaurant/bar/Brewery with multi level game day balcony access on the field facing exterior. Not just suite balcony, but large patio style format.
- The restaurant is nestled next to a large berm that sits between the restaurant and the view of Tiger Stadium. The berm will be first come first serve general admission. Tarps, tents, and coolers allowed. On top of the berm will fly all 7 national championship flags that can be seen high above the score board. Score bored can be bigger and raised above the berm.
-Right field stands will still house an updated intimidator with neon sign lighting similar to MLB park esthetics.
-Remove all bleachers and replace with chair backs.

How about a harmonica

You got new foul line premium seats and more nets! I really think you’re asking for too much now.

If I remember correctly, the organ was very old and was always needing repair work. When it could no longer be repaired, they decided that it would be too expensive to replace, so that is when the organ music ended. I do not think that they were paying Kenny Kleinpeter very much, so it was the replacement cost of the organ that was deemed to be too expensive to keep the live organ music tradition alive.
I agree with the OP. I think that it was a terrible decision to cut out the live organ music at The Box. It was one of the many things that made the atmosphere so special. I would gladly support bringing it back!

I would like to see Organ Grinders with monkeys at the Box

I’d sign it. The Box needs it.
If they can share the Tiger Band and a DJ for basketball then they can do it for The Box!

Agree with this, I’m not a Cubs fan (don’t like or hate them), but it’s one of the best atmospheres in MLB and it might be the best.

I think his name was Kenny Kleinpeter, but I could be wrong.
That’s correct. He’s my cousin. He was doing the games for something like only $35 per game. Just a little something to compensate him for his time. He mostly did it for the joy of being involved with LSU baseball. He was cut loose to save money in the budget.
