Interesting tidbits about the D line:
- Loves R Lawrence and thinks he’s gonna have a huge year. Very smart and hard worker as well as being talented and tough. Jenkins quoted a Bama lineman who said Lawrence was the best player he had ever gone against
- Fehoko is extremely strong and physical. Loves to play. Sat in the front row of the D line meetings last year and was eager to learn
- Ed Alexander improved a lot from beginning of the year to the end of the year last year. Expecting cont’d improvement.
- Shelvin is big man who can move. Optimal weight may be around 345 lbs
- Neal Farrell should provide good depth. Is a good athlete. Didn’t know much technique last year but still able to make plays bc of ability. Has a lot of upside and will get better with improved technique
- Much more depth in general than last year. Went into Miss St with no backup D lineman bc of injuries and suspensions
- Orgeron is a relentless worker both in recruiting and day to day operations. He does give the coaches an hour off for lunch which Jenkins appreciated (unlike Saban who has his coaches work through lunch)

Sounds like ed should make the coaches work through lunch.

Yeah whatever Saban is doing isn’t working....

That’s good know, would hate to see someone trying to do things the way Saban does

Yes, what do you expect him to say about any of these players except compliments?
Posted on 7/9/18 at 9:19 pm to unotiger21
Well I think he has enough credibility for us to believe what he is saying. I think he was complimentary bc he believes these guys are special players, not just bc he enjoys their company.

Chrles Hannigriff did AFR today and I have always found him so good on the radio. (Sorry if I spelled his last name incorrectly). Once Ryan Theriot stopped yapping, Hannigriff asked the proper and direct questions and got great answers out of Pete Jenkins.

If you don’t respect this man’s opinions on anything Dline wise........we’ll then just GTFO

this man’s opinions
That's the point. These are not his objective opinions based on experience and knowledge. They are his subjectively biased opinions which would never reveal anything but positives. The former should be respected; the latter taken with a grain of salt.

Thank you. Exactly my point.

Right, we can't have any positivity here! Shut that shite down!

Well when you consider that just about everyone not named Saban who makes it to the championship game is from the Saban coaching tree (Jimbo, Dabo, Kirby), maybe other programs should try to emulate whatever he's doing.

Yeah because taking a lunch break is such an exhaustive measure to winning a championship. Get a grip guy

You don’t think our DL will be good?

People worrying about a frickin lunch break

I think Alexander Fehoko Lawrence and Shelvin will be good. So far I haven Really seen too many signs of life from Farrell and Logan.
