Agreed completely. Being like the Saudis and Iranians shouldn’t be a goal of ours from a death penalty standpoint.

The first thing I thought is, he’ll probably kill himself before the execution. But then I realize that the sickos love being a martyr. The only thing that I would hate to see is this piece of filth getting his Muslim call to his brothers for violence broadcast for everyone.

I never mentioned the public part. I just said firing squad.

The execution is absolutely going to happen

This article goes on for paragraphs on why this isnt going to happen as thought in the OP.

As Army moves to execute Fort Hood shooter, questions about procedure linger

For starters, lawyers saying Hasan was not properly notified with lawyers and chaplain present...

Does SecWar know Hasan is paralyzed from the chest down? I know this is a leftist new talking point to sky scream, but the optics aren't good.

HEBRON, Ky. (AP) — Vice President JD Vance cast doubt on Friday whether the Pentagon will livestream the execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan in December but told reporters that if it is livestreamed, “I’m not going to be watching it.”

The Republican vice president said, “I don’t know that that’s actually going to happen,” when asked about the plans that the Pentagon confirmed on Thursday. But Vance then tried to set aside the controversy over the shocking plans for a public execution and said Hasan’s crimes should not be forgotten.

The govt has a time frame. No way even Pete is shooting this terrorist live in a wheelchair.

Charlie Kirk was publicly executed for having the wrong opinions and tens of millions of leftists fapped online for months about what a glorious event it was. Now suddenly publicly executing a mass murderer is in poor taste? Go #### yourselves.

So if the "optics" are bad, then no justice for those he murdered and shot? Optics trump justice?

He was wounded while he killed 13 American soldiers. Optics are what they should be.

He will still get the death penalty, just not with a bunch of people watching a dude in a wheelchair with a black bag on his head get shot.

They may change the way they execute, but the lawyers are already screaming he wasn't notified by the book.
