Once I got here I realized I hate you as a person.

If you are going to bust the OP"s balls for not using the Kings English, then please refrain from watching any interviews with most of our athletes. You'll have apoplexy.
Give me a break.

Well I think other schools have academic standards for football players lol but yeah even still ND is kind of an oddball in athletic programs. All athletes, football players included, have to live in the dorms rooming with non-athletes for at least 2-3 years (tho most fb players move off campus somewhat against the rules by their sophomore or junior year).

For example, Ian Book once stopped by my jazz band nerd friends pregame cuz he lived just down the hall haha and Bo Bauer could tell when a new transfer student moved into the dorm halfway through the year because he didn't recognize him. Current linebacker Nolan Ziegler in his first semester decorated my dorms lounge with rubber duckies just cuz and then sheepishly denied it when hall staff was just curiously wondering who did it. Not really related to BK at all, but some fun stories demonstrating your point

Yeah, but I know exceptions are easily made. I’ve just always heard ND was different in that regard. Basically, if you can’t read or are a felon, you aren’t getting admitted regardless of your star ranking

Every team will have it's own identity. It'll be different from school to school, year to year. Sure 2019 had the swagger and backed it up. After that, it was starting to go down the drain. UGA and Bama aren't like that. In the NIL Era, I'll take the business and professionalism culture.

I have no interest in opinions on LSU and CBK from a ND alumni. Facts are fine. ND is better respected in academics. The rest, blah, blah, blah.

What I was replying to (I.e., syntax) and what you are referring to are completely different. Also, what point are you trying to make. Enlighten me….

It's having watched every single Brian Kelly big game blowout in the last 6 years,

Just curious…vs Alabama not big game last year? Vs then #7 undefeated Ole Miss not a big game then - I know Ole Miss was overrated but sure as hell felt like a big game that week.

I think Kelly was awful in game 1, but selective memory on big games doesn’t help your point.

I will say that neutral fans seem to dislike Kelly as well.

The reason he left Nd was to get away from the ND culture

LSU had two .500 or below seasons during that timeframe. Same timeframe, ND had 5, playing in something other than the SEC.

Those two bad seasons, we know why, Kelly is trying to clean up a mess left by the previous staff.

Much of ND’s problems are self inflicted.

Just the fact that Kelly himself carries himself completely differently than he did when he was at Notre Dame tells me this theory of yours probably doesn’t hold water.

Yall are over analyzing. The reasons we got whipped were:

1. BK was lazy/distracted over the summer and didn't prepare properly.
2. O ran the program into the ground and it's going to take a long time to fix it. Kelly hit with the transfers last year, but it appears as he whiffed this year.
3. Kelly tied himself to JD and JD is a good runner but a bad QB
4. The team quit in the 4th quarter because there's no leaders and Kelly was standing on the sideline looking like somebody that just got punched in the face instead of rallying the troops.

Our athletes are no different than ND athetes and quit trying to act like ND athletes are smarter. That's weak. I guarantee you ND athletes get "special academic help"

Also OP as you mentioned you’re on the younger side, I definitely agree what BK is doing is a major departure from the Les/O eras, but that’s all it is. What do you think it was like here under Saban?

Agree with you . BK was brought here to win Nattys . The athletes you need to do that want to play at the next level . His focus needs to be on football . Every program has tutors for athletes . If they graduate , great .
If they don’t , that is on them .
