Perhaps the SEC cannot dismiss the federal lawsuit now.

If the SEC dismisses the federal lawsuit as a result of LSU filling in the last two roster spots, does that not indicate that the SEC only filed the lawsuit to stop LSU from rostering the two players who tried out for the NFL? And if the SEC filed the lawsuit to stop the two players, does that not indicate that the SEC is acting like a cartel in fixing labor costs?
I'm not sure the SEC can dismiss its lawsuit now. Clayton will eat the SEC whole.
P.S. I'm not going to call the two players "former NFL players" anymore. They didn't make an NFL team.

He will, because the fed judge will grant the tro without protecting from this one.

I've said all along this is in violation of right-to-work law. I wish I was these guys attorney as they'll win in court, if a settlement doesn't come first.

They just need to designate them ineligible players per NCAA and SEC, same as chambliss and any other player who got a TRO.

Any plaintiff can withdraw a civil complaint at any time. That being said, there appear to be bigger issues at play. I just don’t know what they are.
I do not understand what is happening in this case, so I will not speak to the specifics. However, the SEC speaks of values, and codes, and standards. It has well been established the SEC as a whole (and football in general) lacks those same “institutional values” when it is convenient for the ones involved. The hypocrisy is astounding. So my only questions are:
Why LSU?
Why now?

They want to make an example of LSU and what better school than the one with a head coach who is hated by so many. They want to force compliance of the other members through preemptive punishment and a spectacle. I don’t think this will go well for the SEC and I suspect they probably lost standing in court when LSU finalized the roster.
