they said the same about Pelini. He’s not going anywhere. Yet he’s gone

will depend totally on the win-loss record he finishes with. My guess is he’s going to have to lose 5+ games, which looks entirely possible/probable in my opinion.

LSU will most likely be sitting at 4-2 / 3-3 after Kentucky.

My guess on remaining

Unlike last season, this team had time to prepare. What we saw on offense & defense was a head coach that was totally lost and his team quit on him. Unless a miracle happens all of a sudden which I highly doubt, I don't see Ed finishing this season. He's that bad.

I never wavered. I always said that I was happy with anyone other than Les, and that when Ed started fricking up, get rid of him. Was hard to get a true feel last season due to attrition and covid, but there's no excuses now.

it's sad most of you don't understand O isn't going anywhere soon. He's probably there until at least halfway into 2022.

If you think Woodward is going to pay Orgeron $21 million to go away you aren't paying attention.

He's going to be fired for cause, or at best they'll negotiate a small fraction of that $21 million to stop him from hiring Jill Craft.

But Woodward has been building a file on Orgeron for months. Only a miraculous comeback and 9-10 win season will save him, something we all know isn't coming.

Good luck getting him to leave the Midwest. He’s probably waiting on Michigan or Ohio State.

Did you not see auburn pay 21 million to make gus go away? South Carolina swallow a huge buyout for muschamp? Hell did you see lsu pay all that money to fire the support staff last year?

Whatever it would cost to fire o and the staff, and yes we will negotiate a lower buyout, is nothing compared to what the progrM would lose if he is allowed to put out a shite product for two more seasons. This is actually MORE true in a post covid athletic department that needs every penny

Good luck. LSU's financials are mess bro.

Yeah, the old... money grows on trees guy.

Whatever it takes as long as its not your money. Dude, its just a sport.

So... the mistake was throwing money at Les, than you corrected the mistake by throwing money at Orgeron. Now you are going to fix the mistake, that was fixing the mistake by throwing money at the throwing money at the problem?

I would love this hire! LSU will make sure the next head coach is black though, so I advise everyone to start looking at black candidates only. Just being realistic here.

Now that’s just silly.

Everyone knows that the answer will mean hiring a black transgender she/they.

And you people who think that LSU just convinces O to give up seven figures and go away for less money are hysterical.

Would you agree to leave your job without getting paid every penny that your employment agreement entitles you to receive?
