Maybe he'll step up to big boy football at Arkie or something....we'll see how it pans out for him.
Miles is proven
I'd say Gary Patterson is a proven coach. Consistently finishing in the top 1/3rd of the rankings with half the resources.
Yeah, I'd say he is proven.

You bring this on yourself with the Saban comments and sucking off Bama. It's ok to question Miles when he makes a mistake but you and Cajun are miserable.
I am not miserable and no it is not ok to question Miles on this site. Questioning him means you want a new coach. The miles apologists refuse to allow any questioning of his decisons which is ridiculous. Do you defend the players that get criticized on here or just Miles?

I haven't made a point to complain about Miles until Saturday during the game. Now, I'm a flag bearer for Negatigers everywhere

I don't think he is the great recruiter all you dumbasses make him out to be. He didn't get great recruiting classes at Ok st. A great recruiter at LSU would always have top 5 classes. Dinardo was a better recruiter....
You are a Saban fan and will never be happy with anyone.......must suck to be u

The sunshine pumping, nothing is wrong attitude is what sets me off. He has some severe in game weaknesses. When making $4 million he should be called out. LSU wastes TO's every game. Not calling a TO when bama is lined up to guard against the fake is inexcusable.

For the morons, I'm pretty sure he was speaking to the guy not being a very good coach.
Well, then Peter King is a moron.

Just gonna leave this right chere'
Lane Kiffin was a NFL coach
Greg Schiano is a NFL coach
Seems like NFL teams have no real clue which college coaches would translate well to the NFL.
Reality is Miles' personality wouldn't fit well in the NFL. He is a college coach through and through. Miles is a father-like coach for his team.
Reality is Saban isn't a NFL coach either. He has to have complete control of every aspect of the program for him to be happy and he can never have that in the NFL.

let's see how he does now that he's playing in a BCS conference...in the past couple of years they've typically only had one or two decent matchups per year. Losing to Iowa State at home isn't a good start.

I've had my issues with Les Miles, but I will say his style of coaching is better suited for the NFL than Saban's style of coaching.

Please don't put Miles on par with Saban.
Actually, I put Miles above Saban.

Weren't the pundits all saying last year that many think Les has the perfect temperament for dealing with modern players in the NFL?
These guys change their positions more than Mitt Romney!

d. There's a reason I never hear Les Miles' name when there's talk of how certain college coaches would fit in the NFL.
Like Saban?

So next year when Miles singlehandedly loses a game with horrible playcalling, will you be talking about how 2014 is our year?
Posted on 11/5/12 at 8:14 pm to tom
The problem with Miles is that he is a completely different coach against weaker opponents and the team has taken that attitude. We will be back to the conservative offense next week. When Miles learns to treat every game the same he will become a great coach until then there will be games that bite him in the arse every season
