Why are we freaking out about a running back missing "a couple of days"? Good lord people, relax. Injuries happen in camp, as long as it is not season-ending we will be fine.

and school

Anyone else find it a little weird we have so many guys missing practice due to school right now? I mean how did we not see this coming when we scheduled practice to start? I get missing maybe 1 practice for a final but we have guys missing multiple practices to take care of school stuff?

He'll miss camp time, not playing time. Jeez people.

I know he wasn’t elite at anything but I wish Curry had stuck around. He was a dependable blocker and could break off a few good violent runs.

Unfortunately, Emery's play has never fully utilized his skill set

To be fair, Our playbook hasn’t Either. We don’t even give the kid outside runs.

Joe Brady’s running game philosophy was basically “Hey Clyde go make people miss” which he usually did.

Hopefully Peetz pays a little more attention to the run game since we’ll very much need it this year.

From a skill standpoint I think Emery is LSU's most "complete" back. TDP is more of a Les Miles type back. Big guy with good straight line power/speed, but not a ton or lateral quickness or "make you miss" ability.

Could not disagree more with this statement.

Emery has shown very little power and runs with a high pad level. He also dances in the hole instead of hitting it quickly. TDP has shown the ability to make people miss in the open field as well. He is not as shifty as Emery, but he is shifty enough, and coupled with his power, pad level, and ability to hit the hole, he is our most complete back.

They've both shown plenty ability to catch passes as well.

I'm glad we have both and think in the open field Emery is slightly better, but I don't think TDP is lacking there and is the more complete package in other ways.

Because people only read topics and not the subject matter to them.

There is an inherent built in versatility to zone running, and we had a better OL in 2019, but yeah you can get away with nothing but inside Zone with CEH but maybe it isn’t a model for every RB

I just want to see Emery with some space!

Summer inter session exams just wrapped up. Emery and a couple other guys missed a couple practices for that.

Emery can’t block and he looks uncomfortable trying to catch the ball besides that he’s perfect

Address calf injuries now. Saying a few days usually means it's not a tear but more of a strain or contusion.

Heck, please just keep him out a week and let's not address this again...
