Sadly, yes.

What's my problem? Not only did people belittle my observation that his arm looked tired, they bumped it the next week to mock me.

He didn't need to go so deeply into games and he we certainly didn't need to start Poche against the #265 RPI four seed just so Walker could start Sunday and throw another 116 pitches.

When I suggested CPM needed to save his arm for the post season, everyone down-voted me. I saw a change in his motion like he was laboring more at the end of games, got skewered for mentioning it.

Now he's not just out for CWS, but all of next season

Ok...so answer this for me. If Walker would not have thrown in the CWS would he have pitched all of next season without needing TJ?

Was that because of his performances in the post season? He was great in the SECT and Regional.

Are you suggesting that we should have started Walker only a few days after the SECT? Is that your argument to protect his arm?

Still not entirely sure what your gripe is. You're mad that people disagreed with you? Or that you think his throwing 116 pitches in the regional final caused all of this?

Depends on whether his arm looked tired or not.

Ugh. It's like retard day.

No dumb arse. I wanted to start Gilbert and use Walker for "if necessary". If we were dominating all 3 games, Walker could close game 3 and still get a little work in.

He over-used.

Yet he had a weekend off after that and only got hurt in a simulated game thereafter. He got a repetitive stress injury. Missing one additional start wasn't going to prevent it.

So you wanted him to get 3 weeks off instead of the 2 he got? Or did you want him shutdown completely because you also incorrectly think that pitchers don't throw when they aren't throwing in games? Tell us how stupid you really are.

ook, I don't like CPM and think this program deserves better. The CWS was so hard to watch

Wow!! The CWS was so hard to watch? Our team came out of the losers bracket and had to beat a Oregon State team TWICE that had only lost 4 games all year!! That was hard to watch???
Truly dumb!!!!

You're the only one who knows that answer. The rest of humanity can't answer for sure.

No he didn't

This pitcher was dominant, he showed no signs of arm fatigue

Biomechanically he was the same pitcher all year, not changing m chance due to fatigue.

It is a sport, athletes get hurt

Overhand throwing at maximal velocity is dangerous. If you do it long enough you will have an issue. Most issues require rest. Very occasionally something really bad happens, sometime the injury exists for lengthy periods of time.

shite happens. We do not wear our pitchers out

But did you see how tired his arm looked? Obviously throwing 88-90 in late May in the 6th inning means it was. How can you not tell? How did we all not know that if he had only been throwing simulated games instead of real games, this would have been prevented?!?!?
