As far as being banned that's what a pussy would say and you're the one who can't stay on topic. You spend 99% of your time insulting me and next to none in baseball. I made one statement and you and your little gaggle of pond scum preceded to derail the thread trying to discredit me with character attacks and insults rather than discuss the topic civilly. Then of course turned it around and played victim so that ppl who only read the last part of the thread would see that instead of what caused it.

You entered this thread with two back to back posts that were:
quote:
You can thank cpm for this and the cws loss. Had he pitched our two aces the first 2 games we are in the final series with 3 starters....
quote:
Why are you shocked cpm could feed these idiots a pile of shite tell them it's steak and they'd believe him...
so you entered this thread throwing an insult at nearly everyone in the thread, and this is how you believe you were trying to have a civil discussion about baseball?
You have very nearly 70 posts in this thread and 90% of them are inflammatory remarks made at whomever you are responding to, very few of which are substantive in nature at all.

Lol so him admitting he messed up by leaving a pitcher in too long doesn't mean he mishandled the pitching lmfao. Just priceless. This the walker > Poche thing and the reasons behind walkers start are what I've argued most and am 100% right about. End of discussion.

No. That means that he left ONE pitcher in ONE game in too long. PM handled the pitching very well, especially after Walker went down.

quote:He said he left Reynolds in a batter too late. Coaches do that. All of them. And he even admitted to that. Both of those are NOT classic PM who I've criticized harshly for leaving in pitchers 2 or 3 batters too late because he waits too long to get them ready. That wasn't the case.
He admitted to mishandling the pitching in the cws lmfao and you didn't even know the reason Walker started game 2 lmfao yet you tell me I'm wrong lmfao.
As far as Walker starting game 2, there were multiple reasons. First (like you said in another thread), there was nothing wrong with starting Lange game 1. But he wanted Poche to close it to face FSU's lefties since that was the only real threat in the batting order. It was a great move. He wanted that first game. But just as importantly, Walker was the better starter. That's simply not up for debate. He was pitching better those last 5 weeks going back to Auburn. And it wasn't close. Everyone knew Walker was pitching better yet many still thought that PM would start Poche in game two to be "safe". It was the right move.

He admitted he left in Reynolds too long in the championship series with Florida. That has 0% to do with the decision to start Walker in game 2, which is what this entire thread is about.

And we still didn't lose that game simply because of that move. Bush gave up the double that Watson misplayed along with the ball that was tagged on in foul territory. And we outhit them that game. 9 to 6 I believe. It was the cluth hitting, not the pitching that lost it both games. Again, not really a debate there.

Going into the OSU game, Walker was 2-0 with a 0.57 ERA, 16 K's and 1 BB in 15.2 innings in the postseason.
Against TX Southern, Poche went 4.1, gave up 5 hits, 7 runs of which only 2 were earned, 3 BB and 8 K's. Decent outing, the errors killed us that day.
Against State, he walked four guys and gave up a 2 run HR, not even making it through the 3rd inning.
For you to still argue that Poche was a better choice than Walker is so laughable.

Poche also had over a 5 ERA and over a .300 OPPBA in SEC play. His stats looked better on paper over the course of the season because he was so dominant prior to SEC play beginning.

Nah man, Jared Poche is LSU's all time wins leader. He's better than Eric Walker and Alex Lange.

If we take away his first three outings (I know that's not totally fair), Walker wipes the floor with him.

After skimming the past few pages, I think the admins could trim this thread down to 1-2 pages
Posted on 7/7/17 at 6:36 pm to YogaPants
Or even just the last page. Without reading all 34 pages, I'm guessing most of the thread is a few people trying to blame the injury on CPM, and getting shot down.

It's one person blaming PM, and he did it 25 pages ago. Then when people told him he was wrong, he proceeded to go on an incoherent insult Drive.
ETA: I'm actually surprised this hasn't been anchored yet. I guess the title holds some weight.

So it's basically been Madking vs. everyone else for most of the thread? Glad I missed out now.

There's no basically about it, that's exactly what it was.

And he's still down voting

He also still hasn't told me when I misspelled irony.
