Per Ben Love: Fournett's camp is starting to have issues with his carry count.

Ben Love was on with Mascona yesterday and said he's hearing from inside the program that Fournett's people are starting to worry about him getting the ball so much and how it will affect his longevity as a RB. He's come up limping from a pile twice now and Chubb blowing out his leg is what sent them over the edge. They don't want him getting it 30 times a game so look for Guice and Williams to get more carries early so Fournette can be saved for the 4th quarter. I'm not sure how I feel about that honestly.

Ben Love knows as much about Fournette as the fricking rant. I wouldn't trust Ben fricking Love to tell me much about anything LSU related.

I think watching a guy like Nick Chubb blow out his knee will have any parent worried about their kid.
But it happened on his first carry.
Its a dangerous game, freak accidents happen whenever they want.
I think he could get less carries, and i certainly think Guice emerging will help with that.
But at the same time you get less carries, and less yard, and all of a sudden the "overrated" chatter starts popping up.

I'm ok with the strategy as we have depth for days at RB. I guess it just shocked me a little that people other than the coaching staff and Leonard are having any kind of a say on his carries. I'm guessing if he could touch the ball 100 times a game he would gladly do it.

I don't know if I believe this... LF7 chooses to run at DBs to run them over. If this was true I feel he would run away or out of bounds to avoid contact

He has yet to do this. He averages just under 24/game and already missed an entire game of work.
