What rock have you been under. Every day there are several threads by those opposed to Orgeron bitching and moaning and crying.

Thoughts yeah they got 'em. None original but lots of recycled squealing every day.

I see a lot more threads just like this one defending him or at least giving him a vote of confidence. What rock have you been under?

ETA: There are four on the front page right now...and no threads bashing him.

Texas A&M and Florida had serious upgrades at coaching so let's see what happens. And if you say Mullens didn't do much at Moo St., he did more there with less than Coach O did at Ole Miss

So Jimbo is 10-10 in his last 20 conference games. His last 4 recruiting classes are 5, 2, 3, 4. He was 5-6 this year.

He had a good couple years. So did chiz. My personal opinion is that he is burned out and has personal problems and a lot of baggage. That was the biggest overpay in coaching in college football history Imo. Time will tell.

I still hate it.

First of all it was the process that was what I hated. The aborted attempto-hire of Jimbo, then the mid-season firing, no real search for a new coach and then the panic hiring of O. The whole thing was amateurish.

Second, you can't use the outcome of a decision to justify it. If it was a bad decision then, it's a bad decision now. Meanwhile O is our coach, I support him and I hope we got lucky with this hire. But if we do it doesn't make it a good decision.

Not surprised. Apparently Rick is a big supporter of him...not surprised at that either.

So what you are saying is that there is no room for anyone to be wrong. It was a bad hire and it doesn't matter by God if he wins the NC next year, it was still a bad hire. Sound logic. Fact is, people are wrong all the time. Few have the character to admit it.

If we win a NC next year, is it your assertion that Alleva somehow knew that was going to happen when he hired Orgeron?

Is this a serious question? Just because someone failed in the past doesn't mean they can't be highly successful in the future. Especially if they have continued to grow and learn from mistakes. Of course alleva thought he would be successful. Where do you people come from? Seriously. Jesus Christ.

Let me try to make it simple for you because I think you're trying to make me say something I didn't.

A decision is good or bad based on the information that was available at the time. Anything that happens after that is irrelevant because it couldn't have been known at the time of the decision. In other words if we win a title under O, that doesn't make hiring him a good idea. It's a good or bad decision based solely on what was known when we hired him.

Well, it's apparent you don't have the character to admit when your wrong.

As someone who hated the O hire, here are my thoughts.

Lsu lost to Troy to break a great out of conference record at home. That sucks. That was def his fault. He’s the head coach so yes, losing to a sun belt team is his fault.

He hasn’t won the west, beat bama, made it to the playoff, or even gotten to a NY6 bowl.

He’s got 2 more seasons to get one of those things done. Period.

If lsu hasn’t done one or more of those things after 2019 then he needs to go.

They had a better coach and qb. Had he not got injured vs OM they'd have the same record as us and would be going to the citrus bowl.

They should've also beaten Bama. State could've easily gone 10-2.

Have to give credit for the turnaround even though the Moo State-Syracuse-Troy stretch was the worst football I have seen LSU play in decades. 9-3 in year 1 is passable. Let's win the bowl and finish strong in recruiting and I'll go into 2018 with an open mind.
Ive always thought your mind was open

Just a casual observation from reading this board throughout the season....
Those who liked the hire are happy.
Those who hated the hired will never change their minds.

The proof is in the pudding. If he doesn’t get us to the playoffs during his initial contract then it’ll be time to move on.

You’d better hope that he hasn’t seriously damaged the program at that point.
